Gamers...what are you playing right now?

For anybody interested...EB Deal of the Day is apparently Trauma Center for the Wii for between $9 and $19 depending on who you speak to. Not sure if anybody played Trauma Center for the DS, but I assume the Wii version's probably much much much much much harder given that you're not just tracing a stylus across a screen.

I'm still playing SvR 2010...it's taking a bit longer than expected, and career mode is pretty straight forward once you unlock the ECW Extreme Rules match and can just beat your opponent with weapons for 5 minutes, kick wham stunner pin...or the tables match where you can just beat an opponent with weapons for 3 minutes, pull out table, kick wham powerbomb win...

But you gotta do what you gotta do for those achievements :p I'm pulling in on 50K achievement points now, so I may as well trudge on.

50K is impressive. You don't realize how hard they are to get until you really start trying to earn them. A buddy of mine is closing in on 100K, which to me is pretty freakin' unreal.

A buddy of mine from high school's little brother has something like 120K. I was talking to my buddy about it and he said "Yeah Luke only works part-time, and rents 2 or 3 games a week and uses that timeline to play the games nonstop and beat them to return them on time."

Ah the days of being 20 with that much free time again.

Apparently they are. I didn't even know they were till a buddy of mine told me about it the other day.

The Rogers Video deals are out of this world...up to 75% some new games is nuts. I don't play Wii, but they had Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M for $30 each (50% off but still) which you'll probably never find for cheaper since Nintendo brand games for whatever reason never dip in price.

I usually take advantage of EB and Future Shop Trade and Save deals, or buy from my local supplier, so I haven't paid more than $25 for a new release in over a year. I bought Metroid Other M for $25 (no tax) still sealed from the local guy (and I don't even like Metroid) and I went out and bought 3 used games for $35 total, and traded those in for Mario Galaxy 2 and Singularity for the PS3 during a trade promotion at Future Shop. It's just a matter of knowing which games qualify for bonus trade credit at the various stores. That's how I was able to score a new model 250G Xbox 360 Elite for $105 out of pocket...LOL

I don't have a local guy out here to do me the same deals. Tell him he's welcome out here in Vancouver ;)

If there is anything in particular that you are looking for, by all means let me know. Sometimes he's hit or miss, since many times he may only get one copy of a game, and it'll be first come, first serve, but I know when I was by his booth last weekend, he had 3 copies of Metroid.

I'm not a Metroid fan myself...I haven't been interested in a Metroid game since I had Metroid II on my Game Boy when I was 10.

I'll keep your invite in mind if anything pops up though...the only game I'm interested in playing at the moment that I don't own is RDR, but I figure enough of my friends have it that I could borrow it if need be. :)

At present: Have murdered Hades, Helios, Hermes, Hercules, Poseidon, and likely Gaia as well. I love this game.

It's a sentimental favourite, but GoW3 is rapidly gaining ground on QUANTITY of deicide.

My biggest issue with GOW3 was that it was over too quickly. Gameplay and graphics were out of this world though.... I'm looking forward to picking up Ghost of Sparta in the not-too-distant future.

Add Cronos and Haephestus to the tally. I feel a little bad for Haephestus. But only a little.

Have started Super Scribblenauts...game is always entertaining. Still doing SvR 2010 for the 360 but should hopefully be done with career and the remaining achievements by the end of the week.

Laura also got me the new Professor Layton, but I have to go find my copy of Diabolical Box and beat that first before I take this one out of the wrapping.

Got "Left 4 Dead" for $15 while out shopping yesterday so probably that for a bit. Been playing the nazi-zombie game on Black Ops with the lady friend. Hella fun.

Cabela's Big Game Hunter from a video store closeout...

...thought it would be first person, Big Buck Hunter-esque. Nope. It's a behind the shoulder type of game. It's kind of fun, but not what I was expecting. Seems to be pretty simple though, and after only an hour and a bit, I seem to be almost halfway through the game, so I'll probably see it through to the end.

I'm lovin' me some Black Ops Nazi Zombies. Played a little of the solo campaign, and it kills MW2, so I'm happy about that.

Also got Lego Harry Potter for Christmas, and Epic Mickey for the Wii on a Boxing Day sale, Alan Wake and Red Dead Undead Nightmare for the Xbox 360 at a Future Shop boxing week sale and Resistance Fall of Man for the PS3 and Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker for the PSP on a "2 for $20" sale at EB. I won't even be hooking up the Xbox360 until we get another TV, so gawd knows when I'll get to all the 360 games I have stacked up.
