If only the NHL would find a way to replace solid white huge numbers on the backs of jerseys that make up a lot of patch cards with polka dotted or plaid ones instead.

Or just use the premium patches for high end products like this.

Nah it makes the card just look more ugly, i can undertand it stamped on 1/1 but on anything else its just weird and even more if its not done by the actual player.

I think that The Cup should have lower print runs, more case hits, and no white patches, at only $100 a box.

haha u so funny vegaspuck but i kinda agree, plain white patches is the worst thing ever it looks like a crap jersey swatch and i understand not all cards can have 2,3,4 colors but at least they could try keep it at minimum and not having a /99 rc card having 30 or 40 white ones..

So how about if there's only ten, or five(!) white patches. Imagine how you would feel to get that one? Wortless?

I think white pieces should always be, if there's only multicolor patches, the path would lead to inflation.

white patches are very important. Its what makes the 3 color ones more expensive and in demand.
