Murray to the Pens

I can't believe the Sharks let Murray go. Dude is a tank!

I have seen a number of Sharks games here in the last couple of weeks for some odd reason and he stood out as maybe as quick as a tank. He has lost a few strides these last couple of years for sure and was easily one of their worst players in the games I watched.

I always liked Murray and the edge that he brought - but he just doesn't have the footspeed to keep up. Never bad to have depth on the blueline though and I'm sure he can still be relatively productive if put in the right situation.

Agreed with pretty much all of this post. Murray is much slower than he used to be and gets can get beat to pucks more often than not.

No that's pretty crazy!
I can't really imagine how better Pens will become with him and Morrow in the team...yes they may be a bit slow and "old" but they will make a huge impact for the team for sure!

But I'm sure that Pens will for sure become more hated than ever with 2 another tough guys as new additions to a already pretty despised team.

Many swedish fans (swedish Pens-fans are of course an execption here) are already pretty shocked about the news, because Doggie is pretty popular here and now he's for now playing for the most hated team here in sweden (no kidding!).
I hope that Pens will in some time get a better rep here becaue many has a difficult time to hating a team with swedish player/players.

Just hope that in the future Letang and Geno will be free of injuries....so it will for sure be a very fun season for Pens then!

Don't know if I like them giving up 2 2nd rounders....I suppose if it doesn't work out 1 would not be the worse thing..also I would bet they exchange/gain some more picks before the deadline.

I probably won't see any of the next 5 games...going to STL and won't be home from tomorrow till Monday morning...Not sure if I'll be able to watch any(am doubtful).

I have verizon..seen that you can watch games on your phone...not sure if it is extra though

Good thing for the Pens. I just watched Murray play the Kings and Ducks in LA last week, and the Penguins are picking up a pretty scrappy player that wasn't afraid to use his fists or mouth. Looks like the Pens are starting there Pre playoff preparations early.

Sharks fans are probably happy that he's gone.

Will miss his highlight reel hits and fights, crease clearing and shot blocking.

WON'T miss his decisions w/ the puck sometimes, lack of ability to break things out, and his slow foot speed.

Gives guys like Irwin and Demers a chance to be larger impact players, so I like this. Plus at least he's going to a contender -- he seemed like a great teammate and deserved to go to a great franchise like the Pens.
