Box Break of UD Premier Collection 2001 02

Hey Guys

here comes an old school break of one of my favorite series ever. It is a little bit special to me, because i never opened a box of this product before. When i started collecting in 2001, i was not able to buy just a single pack. It was out of reach for me, because it was my first year at university. No money to spend on hockey cards, ...so i decided to collect/buy lower priced singles from UD Premier collection 01/02 and 2002/03 too.(will post an other break of UD premier collection 02/03 box in a few days).

These boxes are really hard to find, -and if available still very expensive! But i was lucky enough to grab two boxes (one 01/02 and one 02/03) at a reasonable price to do a "nostalgic break"...i really love the design of UD Premier collection! But they are also loaded with my favorite players from former days...it was a great moment to break this box!!

So long story short, it was a fun break!! i enjoyed it very much and i am pretty ok with it all in all. A lot of these cards fit perfectly to my other cards of 01/02.

Wow John, i just looked through your collection and i am really impressed of all your great looking cards! Maybe i will try to finish premier collection 01/02 some day,...at least i was able to complete 02/03 two years ago!

Thanks to everyone here...yes it brought me just back to the "roots"...and it was a dream to open that box.

Regarding that selanne card, you are right, I think it is the gold version. Will do a scan of the card and post it separately...its a sharp looking card in real life...

Hello Patrick my friend!!

It was so much fun breaking this box... and getting this kind of feedback for an old school break is like extra sweet topping on a huge cup of ice cream...

This Selanne card seems to be quite a pull...love the beautiful auto and shiny gold design!!

Will do my second box break of ud premier collection this weekend in a few moments..but this time 2002/03...will post results and pictures tomorrow!!
