2000-01 BAP Memorabilia Two Box Break: Box #1

Today, I received my order for two boxes of 00-01 BAP Memorabilia. Hoping for the stars and to actually see one of those Vezina cards in person, I opened up the first one. Let's just say that the product itself has some nice potential hits, but my particular box that was opened today will probably go down in history as Pro-Set level bad and one of the worst boxes I have ever opened...ever.

It wasn’t that bad considering the era and the odds of pulling any game used. You have better odds of pulling something big from the update sets which are dirt cheap. Although I did pull a Sergei Zubov emerald /10 from my box break of 00-01 BAP Memorabilia. If anything the asking price for these boxes are still too high considering the potential hits and the large supply left on the secondary market.

Don't get me wrong, I am not disaparaging the product itself, just the box that I personally got. I have opened a few over the years, but this particular one and the players I got "hits" of in it were the weakest in comparison to the price point I have ever opened of any type of hobby box ever...and I have opened guaranteed a few thousand boxes in my life.

I've seen a few case breaks of those Update sets online...I am honestly not a fan of them compared to the potential hits from the main hobby version.
