Hey guys,
I know there have been many disucssions about Beckett's role in the sport and the true value of a 'Book Value'. Well, here is a prime example of a card is worth what a collector is willing to pay!

I lost out at a bid of 7 TIMES Beckett's high BV. BV was $3 and I set a bid of $21. Winning bid was $21.50. The only reason I lost was because I was not at my computer. If I were, I would have bid higher... but I thought my $21 bid would be enough.
Anywho, enough with the rant... as a Cleary collector, I was willing to pay much more than an arbitrary value that Beckett sets for a card.
I hope you've enjoyed, and comments are welcome as always.
I'm sure some of you are thinking "$21 for a Dan Cleary non-rookie card??" haha.
Cheers
