2008 - 2009 UD McDonald's Hockey Cards?

Interesting checklist. Looks like they added another 'hit' with the gold parallels. I'm thinking those should be almost as much fun to track down as Starquest Golds from 98/99.
 
that is crazy to get a parrel out of 100 is basically the same odds as getting a jersey card since there both out of 100! damn this is going to suck :|:|

Actually it's 1.667 times easier to get the parallel.

50 parallel cards
30 jersey cards

But yeah... they'll be tough.
 
Don't know whether to be happy that there's no Latendresse stuff that will be impossible to find, and cost a fortune when it surfaces, or be sad, because opening all those packs will leave me feeling empty, not having any PC items to hope for.....well, I guess after eating McD's you can't possibly feel empty, so I guess I'll be happy. :dance::dance::dance:

PS. I'm thinking those Patches /5 are going to go for INSANE Money. Any guesses as to what we could see as a high? Is $500 out of the question? $1000?
 
Remember to sell me your shanny mcd patches /5 for 50 cents, as he is not playing anymore and thus worth $0. It's like you're ripping ME off! :D

Yep, when you consider how much the GU and the auto's go for, I'd say so. It's interesting that you can get a Simon Gagne jersey in just about any "regular" issued set and it'll book for $15, yet the McDonald's stuff is well over $100. I can't wait for this product, it's one set that my GF and I always put together every year, plus I get to eat cheeseburgers!

Ultimately it's because so much of the product is broken by the non-card fan. i'd imagine somewhere around 25-40% won't be seen on message boards, eBay or in hobby shop displays.
 
Wow, these Gold /100 parallels are going to be difficult to pull and to acquire! It won't be quite the same as pulling an Artifacts Silver /100 or an MVP Gold Scripts /100.

Master collectors will have a tough time putting the gold set together. Player collectors better buy these early if they are affordable. Once people realize how tough they are, prices will start skyrocketing
 
Finally a little bit of good news for me... I only have two Fleury's to track down (base and gold parallel)

On top of that the non-collector, will also go after McD's jerseys versus another jersey, just because they collected the set.
