06/07 SPGU Thoughts

Now that the product has been released and many of you have seen it in person, what are your feelings twoards it? I've already got 4-5 Miller cards on the bay that I plan on winning. This stuff is gonna cost me an arm and a leg!

Not really much different from past years - it's still a real hit-and-miss product. This year's product has some really nice high-end cards in it tho' which might make it a little more attractive than past years. The Letter Marks are super nice and should be in a high demand for some time.

That's true, although in comparison to previous years this product tends to overdeliver. I see a lot more value on a case-to-case basis than I have in say 03-04.

They have done a good job putting more value in this product. I really like it this year. More hits per case!

I personally love the design of the set compared to last year's drab version. Plus as mentioned above there are many more hits per case than I've seen in a long time with this stuff. More value and bigger hits makes it a much more fun products for collectors.

As a player collector there are a lot of cards to chase but that's why we collect. If the cards dried up then we'd have nothing to spend our money on

I really like the look of the rookies over last year. I also think the Rookie Exclusives autographs are a nice looking card.

It's gotta be tough for player collector with someone like Luongo with all of those multi patch cards out there lol. Poor collectors hahaha.

I'll have to agree with what the other have already said. Theres seems to be more bang for your buck in this years product. So far, it's been selling much better than last years product....for us at least.

Seems to me online anyway that these boxes have gone up in price, some stores selling for a bunch more than when they initially released. I haven't been to the pit in a little while, but what are the current Canadian box prices? I remember them being at 200 at launch.

I might be stopping by later tonight.

MUCH nicer then last years. MUCH!

I mean, what was with the whole wheel/winged thing last year? Pretty tacky for the most part.

I do think last years BY THE LETTERS are much nicer then this years though. Last year had sharp colours and a pic of the player.

Letter Marks make this product move and the singles will continue to be high demand via the bay or through trades.

My Thoughts
Much better value than last year.....Letter Mark autos are awesome...
Only complaint the incredible percentage of white swatches on inked auto jerseys...
