2005-06 Hot Prospects

I've never run across the Sigalet version of the Shield either. Unsure if it was ever made. I have 2 copies of the white hot /5.

I was told that the Stempniak Shield was never produced. I have a White Hot /5 though

For Lundqvist, I don't believe the 1/1 was ever made (or maybe it didn't pop up). Kevin (Skyfire47) and I both have one of the White Hot /5. I believe Matt (AndroSFL) and Cathaytrader both have one as well.

Would it be safe to say you picked up the Rene Bourque that was on Facebook the other day and that prompted this post?

I've been collecting the 2005-06 Hot Prospects Shield 1/1 cards whenever I can find them, I'm curious, has the Crosby, Ovechkin or any other big name guys ever been pulled? I know there are many player collectors who are still missing the shield cards from this year so I'm wondering what is out there and what is still missing. If you have any information on the whereabouts of these cards please feel free to comment or message me. They look like this:

I used to own the Franzen when I collected him. Pretty sure I sold it to another Franzen collector in Sweden. I'm not sure if he still collects him or still has it.

I know which collection it is in now, though he isn't looking to part with it unfortunately for me.

I didn't realize that some of the Shields were never produced. That's information that would be useful to distribute, Upper Deck.

I find it odd that the patch and jersey cards were produced, indicating a jersey was in their posession and used to make the cards, and then they didn't bother to use the shield to make the most sought after card. I don't think fleer produced any other rookie shield cards for 2005-06 either, so its not like they saved it for another product.

Mark doesn't have any of these. I don't remember Lee having any either.

I don't think any of them are game used, so the jerseys may not have had a shield on them... or they may have used them in the Cup? Fleer products were in the Upper Deck stable by then.

Does anyone remember opening this product back in the day? Were Shield cards redemptions or were they released in packs?
