2011 Heritage Classic Alumni Game - Calgary Flames vs. Montreal Canadiens

Just Announced yesterday (January 18, 2011) that an Alumni game will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at McMahon Stadium (the day before the 2011 Heritage Classic in Calgary, AB).

"Confirmed to take part from the Flames’ ‘89 championship team are goalie Mike Vernon, defencemen Ric Nattress, Jamie Macoun and Dana Murzyn, as well as forwards Joe Nieuwendyk, now general manager of Dallas Stars, Gary Roberts, Theo Fleury, Lanny McDonald, Joel Otto, Jim Peplinski and Colin Patterson, as well as Perry Berezan." - Calgary Herald

No information on tickets has been released, if anyone hears something...please post!

It is Saturday night at 5 pm - I confirmed that with Perry Berezan myself. This game is an afterthought to the NHL - I do know that there were absolutely no plans for an alumni game at all originally.

One of the details I do know about - unless the demand is that great, only one side of the stadium will be open for seating, and no word if there will even be any TV coverage for it...

After talking to Perry today - these are the details on tickets that he had

They will be $25 - and that will get you admission to the Abbottsford game on Friday night, the Alumni game on Saturday, and the Hitmen game on Sunday

Apparently all the details will be released tomorrow (Friday, Jan 21, 2011) and the Alumni game will be officially added to the line-up of weekend festivities.

Montreal Canadiens Alumni confirmed: Guy Carbonneau, Brian Skrudland, Kirk Muller, Benoit Brunet, Russ Courtnall and Brent Gilchrist. - Vancouver Sun

Alumni tickets go on sale today at 10:00 MST

A $20 ticket will also be available for just the Alumni game at McMahon Stadium.
All Alumni game tickets are general admission.
