2016 NHL Playoffs, Round 1: Who ya got?

Interesting how everyone is talking about the Sharks "finally" beating LA yet the team have locked heads 4 times in the playoffs in just 6 seasons and each has won the series twice. I understand the historical comeback by LA in 2014 but I still remember Joe Thornton tumbling and rolling around center ice after beating us in Game 6 in 2011..................

That said, the Blues looked like they were gonna ragdoll Chicago right out like SJ did to LA, but the Hawks showed that championship resiliency and pushed them every inch they had to give. What a series, said it would be the best one, it was. We actually may not see better hockey then that the rest of the way. I've said I think this could be the Blues year, we shall see.

My oldest son picked Pens in his bracket before the playoffs to win it all. How many people did that? Not many I bet.

Another Game 7 tomorrow, be nice to see the Preds advance, fun seeing new faces and teams when your guys are out. It's good for growing the game!

I don't think we'll see a better series the rest of the way. That's the best series I've watched start to finish in years. Kudos to the Blues for getting it done. Also, the Hawks proved why they are champs, they didn't go down without a fight. Down 3-1 in the series, down 3-1 in Game 6, down 2-0 to start this game (and really getting outplayed) and they still managed to fight back.

Should be a fun rest of the way with a lot of new teams advancing. Imagine if Nashville wipes out Anaheim? Who would've predicted CHI, LA, ANA all possibly out in the 1st round

Pending the Ducks/Preds results, nearly half my bracket was rocked in the first round, and two of my Conference Finals teams (Blackhawks, Panthers) are gone. Only two series that I picked spot on: Penguins in 5, Capitals in 6.

I'm interested in seeing how often they can light up Holtby, and I expect them to take it down in 6.

Pens shouldn't have surprised anyone. One of the hottest teams in the league with the hottest player. Now they have Malkin back and playing well, they look good. I look forward to watching this series. I still think the cup champ will come out of the other conference.

My 2 playoff draft style pools are looking great, didn't lose a single player after round one. Going to lose some after this round though as a few players are head to head. I need the Pens, Tampa and Sharks to get through, I have Stars and Blues. My other pool I have Stars, Sharks, Pens and Tampa. Hoping to be in the money in at least one, 28 people in the pool.
