Gonna have to keep an eye out for the Kerfoot, Jost and Compher Canvs YG's. Not a bad checklist, although it doesn't have the same start power as the last few years. Still some solid young players with very high potential.

^^^^

Agreed. We were spoiled the last two years with some of the ‘Generational Players’.

This year’s crop has plenty of potential and I would compare it to the 14/15 batch, and some of those rookies have developed nicely (Gaudreau, Draisaitl, Horvat, Ekblad, Kuznetsov, etc.).

Is it just me or does the potential S2 YG crop appear to be pretty weak (Patrick and who? Colin White?)?

A couple of :caps: for me to watch.

223 Nathan Walker - Washington Capitals
233 Riley Barber - Washington Capitals

Hmm...not the greatest for the Flames, unless Gilles becomes the goalie of the future. It's unfortunate that Jankowski was given a bunch of later rookie cards last year, but no actual Young Guns. He played in 1 game last year. He's tearing up the AHL this year and set to make his NHL season debut tonight.

It'll be nice getting Alex Tuch in a Golden Nights jersey, but I still wish the Wild had kept him. He was a lot of fun to watch here for the AHL Iowa Wild.

Agreed...I would have liked his rookies to come out this year than all those late releases last year.

I'd really like it if Upper Deck made an effort to give every player a Young Guns card. I also don't like the YGs being inserted into non S1/S2 products. Having higher end players like Guentzel and Murray have their YGs appear in non-S1/S2 products was pretty weak. I'd have preferred to see them held over until the next year. These names were big enough to actually move product, so I can see why UD did it.

But just including a player like Jankowski in random late year product for no reason is really poor. I doubt he's going to lift the value of those products, but it means that they'll be pretty poor rookie cards for him if he does break out.

Clear Cut Foundations Set Checklist
30 cards. Serial numbered #/25.

CCF-12 Adam Larsson / Cam Talbot - Oilers

Those two are the foundation of the Oilers? Really? :snapout:

No Vegas RC? I haven't been following too closely, but they must have had Rookie debut.
