Yeah I'm really surprised they didn't put Makar and Suzuki in S1. Poehling is in the AHL now anyway. May as well have him in S2. He'll likely be back in Montreal by then

With the Hughes Brothers being the big draws, stacking UD2 with the rest of the bigger names, especially Jack - it ensures preorders of UD2 remain strong, while in the process also goosing the demand on most of the releases between November and the release of UD2 since they will have rookie cards of those players before the Young Guns hits... Not exactly hobby friendly, but understandable from a business perspective

Poehling and Fleury YG + Fleury and Suzuki Canvas, outch! I'll be looking for the pair of YGs for sure, but the Suzuki Canvas will probably be too expensive for my taste.

Hi

There are different card designs for both series 1 and 2? Is that something? Also wondering if the checklist is finalized. Noticed that some players have a yg in both series.

Cheers Mike

Poehling got a concussion near the end of preseason but was looking like a starter. They will have his recovery be the reason he is in the ahl and an injury to an nhler be the reason he is called up. Once he is up, he is going to stay.
Olofsson (Sabres) is a diamond in the rough and will be a very good player. He was a star in the ahl with the amerks and is making an impression with the nhl club.

Agree that S1 isn’t that strong but as with all prospective YG series, there will be winners and there will be duds, and a few surprises. Kucherov wasn’t a winner in his YG class initially. Can you name a “guaranteed” star YG from that year that didn’t make it?

Mike,
YG and YG Canvas usually have different designs. The YG Canvas usually has an action of a player that started the year but UD held off on loading the series to make the 2nd series more marketable. In S2, we will see some of the S1 rc have YG Canvas, such as Jack Hughes. They have been doing this most noticeably since 15-16, placing McDavid YG & Eichel YG Canvas in S1, while having the Eichel YG & McDavid YG Canvas be the highlight of S2.

Hi

Sorry my mistake . Thought those were series 1 and 2 canvas YG’s. Thanks for the clarification.

Cheers Mike
