2019 YEAR END REVIEW

Another year come and gone and overall it has been fun. Kept my interest in the hobby and whatever spare time I had( which is very little) I was able to hang out with my fellow cardboard addicts at the spring expo along with a few hockey nights with the gang from mavericks sports and collectables.

WAX

My busting has almost dried up. I managed to bust a few boxes...series 1 and 2 and was really looking forward to Chronology but that was absolute gross. The other companies involved haven't put out a product that I liked so I didn't bust any.

Most fun bust..........Blasters of Topps heritage wrestling at the spring expo.

Best pull......Jack Hughes YG....Meh

Let's hope something comes out in 2020 that gets my interest to bust again. Until that it's spent on older releases........

Top Ten PC Pick ups

10........Michael Ryder Trilogy

Not the most valued card but I just love this one

9........Michael Ryder Limited Logos

Many of these autos didn't survive with the first release of the cup.Super happy to land a nice clean auto and killer patch to boot

8.....Gretzky SPA auto

Ok'd it's stickered but that was the first ud product I bought when I got back into the hobby and love the set overall

7...........Sid the Kid

Wasn't always a fan of Crosby but felt that my PC needed a nice one. The card has grown on me and now I really enjoy looking at it. Maybe I'll add a few more in 2020

6............Zibanejad and Greening /25

Out of my Newfoundland players Colin Greening is my main guy and he's a very cheap collect.

5..........Another Zibanejad and Greening Dominion /5

I miss panini!!!

4............04-05 ITG Franchises set chase

Yes,I'm still doing this darn set.Landed these 2

3..........12-13 Panini Classics set chase

Now this set is my fav and was able to land these important pieces....super happy

2..........Colin Greening Dual Shield

Super happy to have this one in the PC

1 Star..........

These have already been shown in a post but nothing came close to owning both of them. They are both in my top 10 of my collection ,period

That's 2019 in the books and on to 2020

That's for the look

Nice Top 10 Dean-O! Love the Ensigns at the end those are gems for sure. Also the Ryder Limited Logos and Mikita Complete are quite pleasing on the eyes.

Looking forward to seeing you and Will the Thrill at Spring Expo again!

Those shields are stunning, same with those rare Classics additions. Very nicely done!

Congrats on snagging that Trilogy Personal Scripts also. Those cards never get old to me - they always look that good.

Love those classic cards, franchises east was my cup o tea, those 2 Ryder cards sure are nice to look at, overall a very cool show

Awesome stuff! My fav has gotta be the Wayne AWT auto from 04-05 SPA...those are so hard to find and are very sought after. 04-05 was an outstanding year of cards even with the lockout. SPA, Ultimate Collection, Legendary Signatures, Franchises...so much awesome stuff that year.

I agree. 2004-05 was pretty loaded with good stuff. I wasn't in the hobby really at that time, but cards from that time period are very impressive.

Quality Top 10 Deano.

Faves are Stosh, Mr. Hockey and Seabass/Bourque shields

Very nice :groove:

Here's to a prosperous and enjoyable 2020

Yep. IMO, the two best years of cards ever are 2003-04 and 2004-05, 03-04 for current players at the time and 04-05 for retired players. All companies did an outstanding job in both seasons across the board.

Never collected in 03-04 but 04-05 was a awesome for legends. It's what got me back into the hobby.

Thanks all for the comments and yes Jeremy, Will and I will be back for the Spring and looking forward to seeing everyone from the site
