2023 UD The Cup Website

I picked up two Matthew Knies RCs from The Cup that are slabbed by UD. When I scan the QR Code on the front of the slab, it shows my card with the matching patch (I'll say that owning these cards have changed my mind as initially I didn't like the idea).

Does anyone have any idea how or if I can search the site (The Authority is the name of the site) to see what the other Knies patches look like!

Most/all are two colour patches but some have a letter or a vein from the Leafs chest logo.

Hockey Cards Gongshow did a podcast with one of the guys from Upper Deck showcasing the new site, and from what it sounded like, you can't search unless you know the identification number of the particular card you want to look up/have the QR code.

Not publicly searchable at the moment. I have no idea why but I hopefully they change that. There will be a time when a bunch of these RPAs are in grader slabs and the original labels will be gone or lost and it would be nice to at least verify the serial number against the original patch.

UD persists with the idea that publishing a library of the patches will negatively affect sales if top patches are pulled. "Oh, the best ones are pulled, why bother?"

I have been unable to disabuse them of this notion.

I will not buy a cup patch if it's not in their original slab... Too risky

I feel the same way about those, that I do about the old BAP/ITG ultimate memorabilia cards. To me the slabs are part of the original card why crack them out.

I really hope that PSA and Beckett find a way to incorporate the QR code into their slab for when these are inevitably graded. Cory
