Is it 1998 all over again????? 2025-26 Upper Deck Extended took me back in time!
Yesterday I took a bunch of young guns I didn't want or need to the local and traded them in on a box of 2025-26 Upper Deck Extended. They had opened a fresh case and I got one overpriced box as the trade. I was hoping to hit the Sennecke Young Guns or something really special.

Could not believe my luck!
Last night while watching the Finals, I found some more young guns that I forgot that I had, so after church service this morning I took them by the local to see if they would do one more trade. I told the guys, I was hoping to pull the draft pick card of Sennecke to go with the base young guns and I mentioned that it would be great to pull one of the jersey cards. The local had gotten in 9 cases of Extended and we thought based on the odds there should be one, maybe two jersey cards in the entire shipment. I told the story to the guys about pulling my very first jersey card back in 1998 when jersey cards were really special. UD has made them special again in Extended and I never thought there would be excitement on pulling a jersey card.
Sure enough the trade was made, and I hit the Snuggeurd and Demidov draft day cards, so I knew Sennecke would not be in the box. I hit a Misa rookie 1403/1999 and mentioned that back in the 90's I have some cards that we thought were short prints at 47,000. Times have changed.
After making that comment, I have three packs from the box remaining. Would there be excitement like 1998 when I pulled my first jersey card!
Well??? YES!!!!! The rush was back!!!! I pulled a jersey card!
And if you are interested in what was the first jersey card I ever pulled back decades ago???
