OLd school I know.

But, I'm trying to find out how to tell the difference between a gold version and a grande finale version.

I have a Steve Yzerman that I always thought was gold, but saw a grande finale one like it on ebay, and now i'm thinking I'm sitting on a great card.

stated print run is /50, but theres no serial numbers...

anyone?

The grand finale has the 3d hologram in gold foil as well as the border. The gold version has a silver 3d hologram on the front and a gold border

UD was great at choosing color schemes for inserts. Just look at the game dated moments from the same year

Check the front holograms. The Yzerman is gold on both the 3d hologram and the border. The Doug Weight is the gold version, notice the front hologram is silver?

I have two.

One of Adam Oates. On the back, the Yzerman is much "golder" than the Oates.

On a related note, I'd be interested in similar Gretzky cards from this set, as well as the harder to find insert sets should anyone have any. I loved this set when it was out!
