Just like the heading says guys I'm looking for info on this Ebayer Canuckelhead. I'm actually wondering if he happens to be a member here? Or over on the dark side, lol? LMK if you can what kind of experience you had with him. -Mike

I've dealt with him quite a few times. I didn't have any issues, but I believe one member here had a major issue where he sold him multiple cards. When canucklehead rec'd them, he claimed one was damaged and did a PayPal chargeback, and got his money back for ALL the cards he had purchased. I don't know if it was ever fully sorted out....the user ID of the member escapes me at the moment.

I guess my biggest issue with canucklehead (who sets up at the Expo too) is that he doesn't really adapt to the current makret. He stockpiles RC's and the such, but would rather sit on them than take a loss on them. Case in point, I believe he has a Ray Emery SPA RC lot on eBay that wouldn't sell for $10 nowadays, but he continues to list it every couple of weeks at $175. I kind of get tired seeing the same auctions listed over and over again....

My issue with him is that he won one of my high end auctions 8 days ago and he hasn't responded to emails and actually has me blocked on his buyers list which has me freaked out:confused:. With the new feedback policy at Ebay I'm wondering if opening a dispute is the smart way to go so I can get my listing fees back? I guess I'll open it and take the possible hit as a result. It's hard when you can't communicate with a buyer :(. -Mike

Based on Rob's post and my own experiences with some of his auctions that keep popping up, he's totally out of touch with the market. Unfortunately, given some of the other stories I've heard about his "abilities" to complete transactions, I think he's out of touch with reality in general.

8 days / no response? DEFINITELY open up the upi dispute. If after another 7 days he doesn't respond - you can close it and he can't leave you feedback but this is where eBay is so frickin flawed - you cant leave him feedback either. Stupid asses!

Good luck with that and I can sympathize with you coz I know I hate it when that happens to me.

Mike.

Yeah, I went ahead and opened one. I don't like confrontations and this feels too much like one. I'll let it run for the seven days then relist after closing the dispute. Oh well, live and learn I guess :). -Mike

He bought something from me a couple of years ago - took 2 weeks to pay - and only on the last day before I could nail an NPB strike on him. I've blocked him as a bidder - I don't need that kind of aggravation from people like that

Now that I think about it, I think I had to wait a while and chase him for payment on the Kostitsyn RC lot he bought off me last year as well.....

Just received payment with an apology for the delay. Seemed nice enough. Anyways, crisis averted and life goes on, lol. Thanks for the insight guys :). -Mike

wow took 9 or 10 days to pay and you guys already had him hung from the nearest tree,is there any patience in this hobby anymore,it would of took 5 or 6 days just to send a money order and receive it,but you guys wanted him dead after 8 days, wow i am in awe,did it say in your auction that it must be paid within minutes of winning, and did it say you have to respond to emails, wow can't believe this at all,he has boughten several times from me all high end,and takes between 10 and 14 days to pay all the time,so if you want money the next day you better block him plus he has alot of high end auctions so i don't think he will be too worried about the auction and not pay

AND NOT WANTING TO TAKE A LOSS lets get the linch mob how dare he not want to lose money, thats a sin

Not sure - but I thought it was either megatron (Lionel) or turtleoo (Mike) that had the problem with Canuckelhead. Although it may have been Shaun in Texas (been so long I can't remember his user logo.

As far as my dealings with Canuckelhead - he has always paid spot on - and never had problems on the selling side. On the buying side - he will not lower his offered starting prices no matter how many times you email him. BUT - they are his cards and his prerogative.

Speaking from experience, he(canuckelhead) has done that a couple times with me as well - taken a long time to pay. He's quite apologetic about it, but I think the angst here stems from his uh...refusal? to communicate before the NPB becomes necessary.

I have had a few good ones with Canuckelhead paid right away, bought quite a few $ worth of stuff and always left great feedback. Some of my best friends take longer so I agree we must have a little patience.

I'm of the opinion that communication is a very important part of eBay. If you are going to be delayed in remitting payment. Then by all means please let me know.. Nothin' worst than seein' your item sell, then having to sweat it out awaiting payment. Only to be forced to drop him a NPB and then surprise, surprise the payment shows up.

Plus this user canuckelhead is well known on the web for being remiss when it comes to being prompt in remitting payment. :|

Just my two cents thrown in..

Reign in your indignant tirade buddy, lol. Steve and Brian get it and hit the nail on the head with their responses. Just looking for some communication. I don't think anybody spoke beyond their personal experiences in this thread and I appreciate the input in weighing my decision. If you feel that we were trying to lynch him on something this trivial then perhaps a reread and attempt of understanding members posts would help. Anyways, situation was resolved....decently I might add :), so this thread can effectively be shut down at the mods leisure so that a building of a mountain on a rather small mole hill won't occur. Thank's again everyone for the assist :). -Mike

i hear yah loud and clear brian and not defending him at all,but a npb after 8 days,c'mon ,i fully agree an email response would be the way to go but not for everyone,if it was 21 to 30 days i could see this, but 8 days wow that just seems to be shoot and ask questions later.i don't know ,maybe its just me ,but a npb after only 8 days just dosen't seem reasonable or fair,if he needs a little kick maybe re-invoice but the bottom line 8 DAYS,wow some people have other things to do and cards are not there life, canuklehead is not a good example to use because he is late and we all know that, but this practice alone is very un-settling

one word i can only think of is patience(most sellers want payment in 10 days and is the common norm)

sorry not wanting to start an arguement because i have had run-ins also but just my 3 cents

Bruce,
It was actually Jaywings (Jay).

I've had this tool on my blocked buyers list for a long time and I refuse to ever deal with the POS after what he did to Jay. I'm sorry, but that was unacceptable. He's a thief, plain and simple.
