Anyone send cards to Beckett at expo?

I dropped off a card I needed re-slabbed. It had an object inside the case that they needed to removed. It hasn't been returned yet.
 
I watched Beckett operate at the Toronto Sports Expo in May of this year...the dealers got preferential treatment. I gave them 14 cards for raw grading...took Beckett 10 hours of continual badgering to get them done. Dealers were getting quick service and I'm sure better grades on their cards. It makes sense for the grading services... dealers are their biggest source of revenue....pushes the prices of cards up!!!! For most current cards...the grading is absurd. How do you mess up a card cut by a laser?! For a card from 1930 or 1953...may make some sense. I will never pay more for a current graded card.
 
Frustrated that the Expo batch has not arrived yet, I sent a follow-up to the Grosnor Rep and received the following note this morning:

"The Toronto batch of cards will start to come in by the end of this week.

Once they get to me I will be sending them out as they come in. so you should see them over the next week or so.

I will charge you card once they are ready to ship back and you will get tracking from Canada post at that time too!"

Seeing that he sent the reply today, the comment "by the end of this week" seems a little odd for a Friday morning. Pretty much a repeat of what he told me 2 weeks ago.

If you're feeling frustrated/concerned too, send a note to Grosnor. I originally sent a note to [email protected] and I have been following up with Account Manager Chris Belbeck. Grosnor is also active on Facebook and Twitter...
 
Sweet....... Got a email this morning with the tracking info and credit card was charged...
Hopefully have them this week...

How would that happen? I had mine raw graded on Friday and then decided to get them slabbed on Sunday. Are you saying the grade can change?

Also, Sunday will be twelve weeks. :waiting:

Anyone try MNT? Any good? I hear they are tougher on grading than BGS or PSA.

I've used MNT on a few cards. I call them TMN, "too many nines". The 9's I received on a few 16-17 YGs I sold on ebay...got less than what the ungraded cards were going for. :speechless:

But their slabs are really nice and I love the quick turnaround.

I am and it is ridiculous. I actually thought I was the only one waiting left.

I am going to give MNT a shot. Going to have to have a careful look at any cards I send them though.
