Sorry for you US folk - probably don't have a clue what I am talking about but it is my football team and they would probably kick the schmidt out of any NFL team right now - they are rockin'.

Sorry to disrupt your regular viewing - transmission trouble is temporary - please do not adjust your set.

Riders - 6-0.

WOO frickin HOO!

Lucky spot on that ball late in the game! Sandro woulda kicked the winning FG!

hehehe... just giving you are hard time. Correct call... they stuffed Reynolds. congrats. Riders looking good... all those injuries, new coach, backup QB takes over this year. Title "defending champs" works wonders on one's confidence.

It is so awesome to be the Rider fan now - not like 10 years ago - couldn't wear the team colors in public. LOL.

Stamps get a rematch in about 5 days so that should be a good matchup (not including our injuries).

Good grief, what is in the air lately? Beat any NFL team? LMAO - They'd be hard pressed to keep up with any quality NCAA team.

While they're rolling in the CFL they could EASILY have lost 4 of those games if not for some very fortunate calls.

What is the CFL?? Oh wait that is the semi-pro bush league football. Now I got ya......... The league where 3 quarters of your roster changes every year and in a 8-10 team league (depending on franchises folding) the roughriders of Sascratchyourass have won how many titles in the last 70 years? Best part of the CFL is a team under 500 could win a division.

Ouch - Coming from a fellow Canuck that hurt. The CFL is awesome and has been for 100 years! Im an Eskimo fan but am having fun watching the ridernation at the moment.

The CFL in my eyes is no better then the Arena League or NFL Europe (when it was around). I understand the appeal it has to the local regions it looks after but I will never figure people out when they try to compare it to the NFL. For a football fan who has been raised on NFL football since the age of 5 it pains me to watch the CFL.

Who Else Sees This Happening Again??!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

RIDER PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!

Umm I bet you my favorite college the University of Michigan would scrape this canadian team that you speak of. Last year was horrid cause their coach. New coach, new team. Time to rock!!!

And how can you diss the Arena League? San Jose(my team) are beasts. they lost in the champ but they have a few titles so its all good.

The difference between this year and last year is that the Riders are getting ALL the calls that they usually would have split right down the middle. Stamps starting linebacker booted on a questionable call right off the bat? Good spot on a 3rd down stuff? Dominguez fumbling the ball, two bounces and then Wes Cates picks it up and saunters in with it? Last season, maybe one of those things would have happened in a single game.

Towards the end of the game, we weren't considering it a completion unless the receiver caught the ball, and then got up and went back to the huddle.

For any team to go 6-0 to start the season in football is amazing!!! Congrats to the riders but beating any NFL team(including the Dolphins and Raiders) is a bit far fetched...

Hope they continue the steak

Its not fortunate, lucky, or "good" calls. The calls are the calls, the rules the rules. Every team gets their good calls, the Stamps got the simultaneous catch to put them within field goal range, albeit a long one. They could have maid a clutch play for the win, but they didn't. Plain and simple the Riders have been capitalizing on every opportunity, as a team on a roll will, where as the Stamps didn't.

Its only purely a coincidence there has been alot of rare calls or plays. I think it is more of a product of a very banged up, yet feisty, happy go lucky, team utilizing the rule book to the full potential to grind out some wins.

EDIT: The largest thread in the Football lounge is CFL related :D
