So I went to ship some things home from comc (137 items). I usually send about 400-600 at a time for $150ish bucks. Well, the cheapest option for shipping was close to $400 us!!!! This is like $550 CDN!!!! The cards are not worth close to that, they are just pc cards I have been picking up here and there (mostly chl). This seems absurd! Anyone else notice this or am I doing something wrong lol!!!

I just went back and most of that is duties. $40 bucks shipping $300 duties! What are they doing, are they making up values on cards? I can't my cards having that much value!!! Guess, I'll probably resell them on comc but I'll probably not do any more comc with those shipping prices!!!

They have a Canadian Representative with an office in Vancouver if I am not mistaken. I do not know his name.
I am sure Jeremy Lee would be able to help you out.
If it works you just ship to him. They ship out the Canadian purchases.

There's nothing to help with. The cards are subject to tariff. That's all there is to it.

Total cost to ship 65 cards......

$75US

So that's just it now? Cross boarder transactions are subject to these high totals?

Question? Has anyone had issues with even small eBay purchases from the US to Canada? In the last 20 years I've had maybe 2 packages held at customs. The past 6 months, I've had 5.

Chris

I have so many cards held up with comc. I have to spend a small fortune to get them to Canada. I guess I just have to continue to wait and hope the situation gets better

I not sure how Upper Deck does it.

Had a dozen Artifacts redemptions arrive in the mail today. No upcharge just a envelope in the mailbox.

No tariff or holdup charge. I thought I may have to go to post office to collect and pay something.

Wonder how that works?

If I had to guess, I think technically with the fulfillment of a redemption, you would (should) have already paid all tariffs and taxes when you bought the box or redemption. The transaction to receive the redemption is NOT a further exchange of goods or transaction and is not a taxable event.

I always have my COMC stuff sent to a friend in the US who then ships to me. Saves me a fortune as it's only around $10 to ship around 400 cards within the US. I then have my friend ship to me for the actual cost. You can also use a border service, I have done this in the past too.

I shipped 65 Cards from comc to me, i opened the Package and found one card missing! Toploader, Empty Penny sleeve plus badge in top holder but no Card. I Wrote comc several Messages during last days but no reaction to any of them until today. It was an Upper Deck Ultimate Gold Auto from ovi. Did any one have an experience like that? Maybe they forgot to put in the card ? Hopefully they find them !!

How Long do they take to get their messages answered Right now?

Ps never had any Issues with comc since 2014!!

Thank you in advance
Helge

Curious when COMC will remove the 30% tariff for Canadian shipments now that the common HS code used for trading cards is no longer applicable to the reciprocal tariffs still in place by Canada on the US as of September 1st? I long for the days when it was only 5%.

Derek

THE TIME HAS COME!!! Just checked COMC and they have removed the 30% tariffs to ship to Canada, and have reverted back to the old usual 5%.

Get those shipments requested ASAP before they get super bogged down. 😆

Just requested a small shipment with the cheapest method:

Tracking:Not Shipped Yet
Date Requested:9/3/2025
Estimated Ship Date:10/28/2025
Items Ahead of My Order:233,263

After running into a $400 comc shipping fee myself, what I am now doing is having them ship them to a hobby buddy in the US. And then he either brings them to Expo or I pick them up at National. Worked well last month.

Thanks for the heads up, I just requested my shipment. There are 243,530 items ahead of me, and shipping with duty paid was $48, much better than what I looked at a couple of weeks ago.

COMC just raised the regular/bulk shipping cost to Canada, overnight, to $24.99 US.. It was $22.99 Friday night.

Just in time for the Black Friday Sale.

For those of using shipping COMC to a border service, what is the Harmonized System (HS) Code? And if literally every card is "Made in Canada" (older ITG, says on the back of each card) is there any advantage to declaring that on the shipping paperwork?
