Looking to off loading some hockey, but trying to decide which consignment/auction house to use. No graded cards, just modern hockey autos from 1994-late 2010’s.

dcsports87 has a much higher payout percentage, they are in the U.S. like me which is a bonus, but do they have the traction for hockey like Slab Sharks, and will their shipping cost to Canada have potential buyers up north bidding less which will offset the higher payout?

Slab Sharks has much lower payout percentage, but seem to be the premier hockey seller especially in Canada, and they have lower Canada to US shipping rates since they ship from the U.S. once a week.

Anyone have input on this, or maybe there’s another auction company that might be the better option than these two? Appreciate any feedback from people who have used companies like this to sell hockey.

I'm interested in opinions on this as well. I keep hem hawing on unloading most of my hockey collection (Yzerman, Modano, misc other stuff) and i'm curious if anybody has used a consignment service.

I buy from both sellers, and as a Canadian resident, it's not a deal breaker buying off dcsports87. I feel many Canadian buyers at this point have some work around to high cross border shipping fees, whether it be a border PO Box, a ShipMyCards type option, a buddy in the US, or even COMC's mailbox option. And then you'll have the buyers that just suck it up and pay the cross border shipping.

I probably do buy more from SlabSharks just because it does allow me to avoid the cross border shipping, and I get my purchases sent directly home.

I personally would probably use dcsports87, if for no other reason than they are only like an hour from me, and I'd just drive over there and drop my stuff off, not having to worry about shipping anything to them. I know most other people don't have that option, but it'd give me peace of mind at least. I've also purchased from them many times, and never had any issues.
