Does anyone collect scans of certain cards?

Might sound weird but for the longest time I've collected scans of certain Iginla subsets that I've really liked. Whether it's a subset I have a card from or just something I like, I have a bunch of sets or 1 of 1's I have scans saved of.

Anyone else do anything like this?

I'll tend to save a scan of a really cool Lemieux card or any 1 of 1 I come by of his. Since I can't afford those cards I figure a picture is second best lol

I do the same with Nash. I have a few scans of nice patches and 1/1's that have been on ebay...

Besides scans of high-end Jere Lehtinen cards (serial numbered #25 and lower), I am working on virtual collections of 2002-03 UD Mask Collection Patches (335/1255 = 26,7%) and 2006-07 The Cup Dual Shields (76/88 = 86,4%).

Oh, and I have a few scans of BAP Journey Patches (earlier issues) and Shield cards (UD Premier are the best I think).

I've been collecting Trevor Linden cards for over 10 years. I thought I was doing really well for a few years and was really anticipating the day when I had one of every card of his. Then in 1998/99, Topps came out with their Gold Label set. That quickly squashed my dream. Having never heard of the 1/1 concept before then, and all of the sudden having NINE 1/1's on my wantlist made me realize that I would never have a truly complete collection. I did however find one of them. That one represents all the 1/1 Lindens out there. I now try to track down all the other Lindens. I figure that if I can't get them, at least knowing where they live is the next best thing. I have received some scans from various collectors and to me, that's good enough.

I've started several times on certain Kharlamov's, but now i'm only covering his Superlative cards (Incl. Expo ones) and about half have surfaced so far.

Personally, I collect scans of Guillaume Latendresse Cup RC's /249, and Gold /84 RC Parallels. I intended to do it for safety against patch fraud, but so far Latendresse fraud stands at 0 for about 177 known copies, so I am thinking noone else thinks it would be worth while.

I still want scans of all of them though.

Every Cup rookie & parallel that I've seen of Jordan Sigalet. Also the debut thread patches /35 from Ultimate and every 1/1 plate of his as well.

And for some reason, I've kept track of all of the Martin Havlat rookie review patches from 04/05 (100 copies). Basically I've kept all of those to watch for any possible faking, etc.
