Does This Cut Look Stamped Instead Of Signed?

to be honest, if I had a choice between the auto in the original post and the ones in the other posts, I'd take the one in the original 10 times out of 10

at a quick glance i'm going to say it's not a stamp, where the lines cross in the N it seems as if the ink is heavier there as well as on the loop on the bottom of the s.

You saw the same thing I did, but also at the tops of the M. You wouldn't get that kind of a difference on a stamp.

If you look on "james" the tops of the letter seem to be darker and where the letters cross the ink also seems darker, you can see the "s" being formed and the "n" going over top of it... the "j" is also much darker than the rest of the sig. I would say it looks legit, no one can ever be 100% sure of any sig unless it has been signed right there in front of you but you would wonder why he would use anything other than a real signature on an official document.

i'd say it was a pen (not a stamp) as well. just looking where he starts with the "J" is noticeably darker than the rest of the name. even with today's pens you'll get that same effect.

While I am not sure about the auto, I'd say in any situation like this, if you have any doubt in your mind about it, it's not worth owning. It really would take away from your appreciation of the card, which I am guessing is the conclusion you came up with.

Quoted for truth.

It definitely was. I saw no point in buying/owning something that I would constantly have to question. There have been enough documented cases about UD's cut autograph authenticity/mixup to make me uncomfortable with bidding on this particular card.

Well...I'm going to say a stamp. I've seen a few Norris autos and that one is just too perfect which you would expect from an autopen or stamp. Sorry to go against the grain of the majority and I hope I'm wrong Jay :o. -Mike
