PHILADELPHIA (Aug 28, 2006) -- " Still looking to replace Terrell Owens, the Philadelphia Eagles acquired wide receiver Donte Stallworth from the New Orleans Saints.

The Eagles sent veteran linebacker Mark Simoneau and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2007 to the Saints. The trade is pending both players passing physicals with their new team.

Stallworth, the 13th overall pick in the 2002 draft, had 70 receptions for 945 yards and seven touchdowns last season. "

Excactly what the Eagles needed, and without giving up much at all. I hate to say it being a Panthers Fan who lives in Phila, but picking up Donte' makes them that much better.

I agree as well even as a non eagles fan it was a pretty good trade only giving up a 4th rounder and LB Mark Simoneau...Donte can play so he will help out at the WR position...

Wow this certainly changes things for the Eagles! I think they will definatly be contenders this season now, Stallworth is one of my favorite recievers out there!

Who cares about the Eagles, I am a Steelers fan by the way.

What we should be asking ourselves is, "What are the Saints going to do now?"

Throw to Reggie? I think he will have an impact this year but not like everyone is hoping. You know what I mean, savior of the Saints and the City. Seriously, who are there other receivers besides Horn?

The only other receivers they have that are notable are Michael Lewis and Devery Henderson. Brees still can throw to Bush, Horn, Michael Lewis.. maybe even Henderson, lol. Ernie Conwell isn't too bad either. Although I'm definetely not cheering for them to be a great team, being in the NFC South and all.
