eBay Investing In COMC

Can someone tell me what this actually means? Not getting much from this article. Unless i'm missing something.

Ebay breaks things they touch...i.e. like their own site. And so this...at the moment doesn't thrill me.

I try to be positive about most things in the hobby and happily use both eBay and COMC to both buy and sell cards, but this just seems like something that will lead to no discernible improvement in services for the average user with either platform and just end up with more fees and headaches being imposed on people trying to make some sales on COMC. If that's not the case and I am wrong, that is perfect, but that was my first concern seeing that news.

It says eBay is making an investment, nothing about ownership or control. My guess? EBay wants to leverage COMC ability to process and list cards in a way that will get more cards on EBay. I’m not worried it’ll make the COMC experience worse - but hopeful it’ll improve the eBay experience.

If this means that you can easily list cards to eBay or have your auction wins added to your comc port, it’ll be magical for those interested in that. If it helps alleviate customs hammering purchases crossing the border, it’ll do wonders for everyone. If it’s an “investment” with no real benefits to users or collectors, then “meh”.

I use the COMC Mailbox feature quite regularly, so if they make that option easier/cheaper for ebay wins that would be excellent.
