OK, I have never bought any. Likely will never. But just in case I thought I should prepare myself.
If I went and opened up 1 box of series 1 upper deck. But when I was done,what would it cost
me to have those cards all sent to me. Including all the base cards.Thanks.

You can't get any base cards from epack. Only the inserts.

It took me a while to 'get it', but epack isn't meant to replace ripping and collecting base sets 'live'. It's kind of its own space.

The digital base is meant to promote trading and 'combining' base into exclusive parallels.

So I guess for me that wants to build sets, hold my cards in my hands. And trade with people that like doing the same thing.I will call it now old school. I just do not see me ever making the leap to a digital card collection. Thanks a lot for the information.
 
I placed my order for my e-pack cards back in May, still waiting for the shipment. Had about 90 transferrable cards being sent. Shipping (To USA, with insurance for 275, only a few biggies with the rest low end inserts) was around 40 bucks if I remember correct.

Since I made the transfer, I haven't bought an e-pack and likely will not again. It's just not worth the wait. Also, it costs .35 per toploader which I find ridiculous.

It can get addicting though, and if you like to trade online, then e-pack definitely has a very active community. It has its benefits (quick access esp for those without local stores, not having stacks of base cards laying around if you're not building sets, e-pack special cards like foils), but I just don't like the shipping option at all. I also feel the website needs an overhaul.
 
That shipping was not too bad,$40.00 for 275 cards.
With them all in top loaders it would be quite heavy.Thanks for sharing

It was actually 90 cards! I insured it for $275. Also, I only added maybe 10 toploaders max to the more valued ones, all inserts will just come in sleeves
 
I find it nice since I don't really have a convenient LCS or anyplace within a short drive that consistently has hockey (or even talks hockey). With 3 kids under 8, it's much easier to log in after they go to bed, open a pack or two, trade for a bit, and move on. I busted a case of S2 on there (at a discount over what it would have cost from a D&A or Steel City) and did half decent without having a ton of base to try and move.

Downside is that I don't have cards in hand to trade/sell on sites like this. Upside is that I can have inventory at COMC immediately (at $0 cost) and find odd-ball stuff like OPCP variations and achievement cards that wouldn't otherwise be available.

My first choice would be an LCS (with hockey and other collectors) and the HI forum. Reality has pushed me to epack and COMC...
