Someone asked for the Expo Threads to come back so I figured I'd be happy to do my own. It was an outstanding experience for a first-timer, got to the GTA early Wednesday and made sure to be there as soo as the doors opened. It was great actually seeing who people were for the first time, as well as meeting some friendly faces I've dealt with a multiple number of times in the past.

Anyway, I sold some stuff to fund some stuff, made a few great trades, refilled the traders, and picked up some amazing pieces for the PC.

#8. 2004-05 In The Game Franchises US West He Shoots He Scores Redemptions Steve Yzerman.

Always happy to pick these up in the rare occasions I get the chance to; this was made available to me by a friend of mine and we worked out a seamless deal at the Expo for this and the two Yzerman's above.




#7. 2008-09 O-Pee-Chee Retro Wayne Gretzky

Happy to have picked this up for what I consider to be a steal, now I just need the other three (and another 3500 cards) for the Master Set.





#6. 2000-01 SP Game Used Tools of the Game Combos Brendan Shanahan/Gordie Howe.

These cards are almost impossible to find; I haven't seen a scan or picture of roughly 40% of the set. This is a double but will replace the current one in the collection because, I mean, look at that Gordie swatch.





#5. 2004-05 In The Game Franchises US West Autographs Ray Bourque SP

Can't go wrong with an SP autograph from a huge set, this one is contained in a History of Hockey slab with no stamp, happily. It'll be removed when I get back home.

Thanks @quincy for the easy deal, these are just the most beautiful cards ITG made, in my opinion, and I couldn't be happier adding this one into the massive, lifelong PC. What could be better than a Beliveau Triple?

A Maurice Richard Triple will do just nicely. Made a cash/card deal to FINALLY, and I mean FINALLY add this to my collection. It's been about a year of trying to get a set price and I was happy to meet up and get the deal done.





#2. 1999-00 Be A Player Millennium Autographs #10 Dominik Hasek.




I haven't seen one of these in ages and saw one for what I believed to be a ridiculously low price at the Expo so I had to have it. $140 CAD for the Hasek was the easiest deal I've made in quite some time, aside from the last card.

And now, for the best pickup of the show, the best pickup I've had in multple years, and by FAR the best pick-up I've ever had at a show.

When In The Game put out the checklist for this product there was, as always with ITG, lots of speculation around print numbers and print runs. The Autographs in this set carried normal, Limited, and Extra Limited distinctions and print runs were never announced officially. There were Orange parallels for all autographs, but I never thought the Orange parallels for the EL cards existed until I happened upon a Forsberg back in the day. In the intervening years, I have always looked for this card but have only seen two regular autographs appear, one that disappeared as a part of a shady deal, and the one for $300 on COMC. @DougLaurieSports mentioned that they'd picked up a big lot of the product with the card in question as part of it and they'd agreed to sell it to me the next day.

I never thought it'd be the Orange Parallel. A card so rare I never actually had it on my wantlist because I didn't think it existed.

What do you use for your scans? They are gorgeous and cropped perfectly. We sold you a bunch of the cards at the @gamebreakers booth

I use an Epson V600 Photoscanner and then crop them with Photoshop. Thanks for the deals, they have come in very handy to add some great PC stuff.
