Fastball Sportscards

Go to his table and find a card that has been sitting there for awhile. Tell him that he needs to mark down the price a little bit because the card looks as if it's faded. Tell him "it's almost as if it faded after years of sitting in your case under those lights".

Either that, or just go up to his table and ask him to show you a bunch of cards one by one and give him lowball offers. Or tell him boring stories about your card collecting past just to get a rise out of him.

Another fun one would be to show him a high value card and offer to sell it to him for maybe 1/10th of what it's worth. When he agrees, tell him "wait, nevermind" and walk away. Then go back later and offer him the same deal again, then retract it again when he accepts.

Pushing peoples' buttons is fun! Especially tools like this who deserve it.

This is a very devious and interesting take on how to get them a going! LMAO! I may have to give it a shot?

Oh yea! Thanks for the chuckle! :D

LMAO -- ohh now this is pure laughter at it's best.
I been in his store a couple of times and love his wording of everything " Oh this stuff is hot, and a great steal for $175.00 pls tax"
Everything he has priced in his store is like $100+/box and out of touch, like no more in the world -- theguy is a laugh and I die to figure out how he makes his rent each month.
Last time i was in there and he wanted my 1/1 Sundin, he offered me $20Cdn and a $10 Gu'ed card.
I look at his display and he had another 1/1 Sundin in it with a price tag of $700.00 lol
I stopped going to Toronto just cause of him

Is this the same Fastball Sportscards that is featured in this website????

http://www.fastballsportscards.com/hockey/

Because, well, if anything their prices seem extremely low to me. I'm sure each of the Joe Primeau rookie, the 1933 Red Horner and the Theodore McDonald's jersey are all worth significantly more than the $3.00 they have them listed for. ;)

Somebody buy 'em, and when he backs out you should submit a claim to the Toronto BBB. (uh, that's Better Business Bureau, not Big Brother Buff)

Someone should seriously go in and buy those...his old man would have a fart attack if he saw those cards sell for those prices.

Shipping is $12. I think I'll have some fun with the Theo patch ;)

EDIT: Well I bought the theo mcd patch on their site. I'll keep you posted on Operation: Screwball as facts become available

Operation Screwball status: Purchase refunded: Reason: It already sold in his store.

Hey Brian - if you see any of those items in their display case at the Edmonton show make sure you ask them why they didn't sell them to you online.

I'm leaving for Calgary tomorrow morning, I am gonna kiss my families butt to stay there for the week and go to the show, just so I can start the laughing line.
Do they rent Corvettes up there ? lol

Why don't you call the store and tell them you are searching for a couple of cards, one of them being the theo patch, and see if he has any of them?

Edit: I really wish I could be at that show to annoy this clown. It would be legendary.

Actually, twharry, I gotta give credit where credit is due - I think your suggestions are excellent.

Ryan - Seeing as how I don't have all that much to hunt down, you up to a 30-45 minute badgerfest of Greaseball?

Steve,

If you need someone to help out, I might be able to offer up my services... :D :D
