Was just doing some browsing and came across this one:

I just won a Lafleur/Shutt dual auto #'d 24/25 from him. I didn't find anything funny in his description. He's just being honest and letting you know his position on the "multiple items" shipping.

Hilarous? No. Odd? A little. Pretty blantant about making money on the shipping portion. Oh well, to each his own.

Not funny ha ha so much as "aren't you just hilarious in your gracious offer to make it sound like we're getting a deal on multiple item buying when in actuality you're charging two dollars to put 2 cards in an envelope instead of just one."

It could be worse. He could say nothing about "combined shipping" and have the buyer just assume there is reduced rate and make him pay separate shipping on all his winning bids. That has certainly happened to alot of us and you just have to suck it up for not asking in advance. lol

Of course he isn't trying to be funny...that's what is funny about it. The purpose of the description section is to describe/promote your item and auction in a positive manner. This seller goes out of his way to tell everyone his shipping is overpriced, then separately admits his combined shipping is overpriced. Then in a poor attempt to defend those issues [which he brought up himself] he states that he spent a lot of money of his cards (....who hasn't), and that he sells at no reserve (like the majority of auctions). Maybe I have a weird sense of humour but I find it pretty funny that this guy went out of his way to make himself look bad lol. And for the record, I have no problem with his shipping costs; he clearly states them in the description.
