Gamers...what are you playing right now?

Got the entire EA SPORTS 2010 edition for $20 during boxing week and loving all 3. Anyone try any of the Kinect games? The adventure game it comes with is pretty good, but seems kind of short..

Just bought Tetris and high stakes poker on the ps3 fun stuff! I was looking at the parker bros board games collection . I think there is 10 games?

Yeah...have played Kinect Adventures (which doesn't have much, but enough variations of those 4 or 5 games to keep kids interested) and Dance Central, along with a beta build of Kinect Sports back when it was in testing/promo.

The Kinect to me still doesn't feel like "the future of gaming" but 8 million buyers are proving me wrong thus far. I mean look at some of the other attempts outside the box and how well that worked out...

-Sega Master System 3D Glasses
-Nintendo Power Glove
-Nintendo Power Pad
-Sega 32X
-Nintendo Virtual Boy
-Sony EyeToy
-Playstation Move is starting on that downward slope already. Some dedicated Move games are down to $20 already, and all of them were Buy 1 Get 1 Free during Boxing Day.

The thing that sets Kinect apart already is the committed user base. I just hope that Microsoft can convince other gaming companies to continue down the path and continue creating games for them since the reason why most of these ideas above failed was a lack of third party buy-in/support. I'm worried it's going to become a breeding ground for bad shovelware after the honeymoon is over. The last thing I want to see is Microsoft pull the plug on 10 million buyers (which is a realistic possibility at this point) and stick them with developers that make Kinect versions of Out of the Chute and Riding Star.

The mistake that Sony made with it's Playstation Move is that they didn't introduce a new technology. It is essentially the Wii with better graphics et all that the PS3 provides. The Kinect as you know is a whole brand new technology and after doing some research there are some really cool and innovative things you can do with it such as create a 3D camera.

Just scored Halo: Reach, Goldeneye: Wii and Donkey Kong Country for $65 total, all brand new and sealed...LOVE IT!!!

Now if only Best Buy would get my damn TV in stock, I'd be all set. I can't wait to play COD: Black Ops in 3D.

Anyone here getting DC Universe Online for the PS3? I have fought with myself all day trying to decide if I should or not. I have a gift card to Best Buy so buying the game isn't the problem...it is the 14.99 a month to play it. I'm not one of the WoW peeps that can spend days on a game and fear that if I let it sit for a while that I'd just be waisting the monthly subscription. However if some of you get it and I can pursuad some local friends to get it on PS3 rather than pc then I might have a change of heart.

How much did you get Halo Reach for Rob? Can you grab another cheap copy? It's still $60 out here.

It's a little convoluted because it involved buying, swapping, etc. What I did was buy 3 copies of Metroid: Other M for $25 each from my local seller. I then immediately flipped 2 of them for $40 ea, so that made my money back, plus gave me one copy and an extra 5 bucks in my pocket. I then traded my one copy for Goldeneye, so now I have a copy of Goldeneye, plus an extra 5 bucks in my pocket. I then bought Halo Reach and DKCR for $70 for the two of them.....the seller did not have an more new copies of Halo, but I may be able to score you a used copy for $30, if he still has it.

Ah gotcha.

Lemme know if he still has Reach and I'll see if Laura's interested...she's the Halo player of the two of us, but we might pass since she's got like 10 other games to play in queue, including everything everything I got her for Christmas.

What am I playing right now...hmmm...marching toward 50K Gamerscore still. I'm going back and forth between Rock Band 3's career goals and cleaning up achievements on Smackdown vs. Raw 2009, which I'm doing slowly because the game's career mode is boring as **** once you've played 2010. I did that *** backwards, that's for sure.

You have to try Kung fu live on the ps3. Looks like the ps3 move is also a Kinect because all you use is the eye. Lots of fun and a cardio builder as well . I must have thrown 500 punches last night ahahahah

I borrowed and started playing Lost: Via Domus from a friend though I've never seen the show. This game is...bizarre. Forest smoke monsters, random guys in the forest with guns, a non-sensical plot and the fat guy from Becker is a multi-millionaire? So far I've only killed one enemy this entire game which is a bit of a take from your standard adventure game.

Short game too. I've been playing it for only about 3 hours and I seem to be on the last stage, which I had to put aside to make dinner. Unless the last stage takes 12-15 hours to complete, I don't think anybody got their 60 bucks worth when this game came out a couple years ago.

Watch the show and you'll understand.

It's on my list of things to do...I've seen a couple episodes here and there, but haven't stuck around because I knew it was one of those shows I had to pick up early for it to make sense.

Anyway...finished that game last night...the game itself was alright, but I can't believe they charged $60 for that game a couple years back. Between that and TMNT, UBISoft created 2 decent looking games with an overall playtime of about 9 hours for 100% completion. For real?
