Gamers...what are you playing right now?

I already have Infamous but I was thinking about getting Dead Nation, could you let me know if its any good?

anyway I rented LA Noire tonight after hearing everyone talking it up but I probable won't play it until monday due to the Black Ops double EXP weekend.

Not sure if anyone on here even plays Black OPs but I've been playing the new Bare Bones Competitive playlist almost exclusively since they added it. Its 4v4 with a slight re-spawn, no kill streaks or equipment and limited perks. it rotates between Domination, S&D and CTF.
If anyone wants to get together and play let me know, it would be cool if we could get a full party together and play regularly

Send me a Message on PSN if your playing, maybe just include that your on HI and your username so I know who you are and don't think your just some random guy.
my PSN is ItsGrizzlyAdams

I think the game is fun. You basically just run around and kill zombies while collecting money to buy better guns and what not.

Reviewing Flashpoint: Red River right now. Not a big fan of FPS games...this one is more up my alley in terms of what I like with regard to tactical ops missions, but I don't think it'll sway me to play more FPS games.

I picked up so many games recently, I don't even know where to start. I picked up Brink for $10 for the 360, hated it, so I traded it in for Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS at Best Buy's "Trade 1, get it free" promo. I also picked up Fight Night Champion and James Bond Bloodstone for $15 and $10 respectively, and traded those in this morning for F.E.A.R. 3 with the Steelbook case at Future Shop on the Trade 2 promo. In the last couple of weeks, I've also picked up Fable 3, LA Noire, GT5, and a used Super Nintendo system (still in the box) at a yard sale for a whopping $4.00....LOL

LA Noire right now. Briefly interrupted for DNF, but Duke just ain't as mesmerizing as he was 15 years ago. Probably do Infamous 2 after LAN, and then maybe I'll tee up FU2 to finish it off finally.

I passed on DNF strictly on principle (but I might go back to it later I admit,) but what's made it so bad? The game was apparently bad enough that our site never published a review for it and all anybody's told me is that it was a bad game. What makes it bad though? Is it just a poor game overall, or did it not meet everybody's enhanced expectations? Is it like say, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which was a decent film but just overshadowed by the hype and the fact that Azkaban was so much better, or Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen where it just flat out sucked with no regard to the fact that the first one was good?

Flat out: It picks up EXACTLY where the last game left off. That would have been fine if it was published 12 years ago. It just doesn't cut it now. It's a plain ol' FPS with Duke's brand, that's it. There's very little of the wit, silliness, in-gags and so on that made Duke 3D such a hit. There's plenty of the macho bullflop, but without the humour...it's grating and wears thin quickly. So quickly, in fact, that not even the promise of nifty, shooty guns was enough to compel further play at the expense of LA Noire.

Finished reviewing Operation Flashpoint: Red River.

Consensus: Only slightly sexier than a bowl of Red River Oatmeal, however with twice the personality. Pass if you like first person games for mindless killing...try if you like tactical ops games.

Looks like Shadows of the Damned is the next game I'm getting to review. This is what I'm relegated to outside of sports season

I'm almost looking forward to NCAA 12 at this rate :o

Addenda:
DNF got traded. I just don't care to finish it.

And Roy Earle is probably the biggest douchebag I've ever encountered in a video game.

Started playing Shadows of the Damned last night. Strange game, but very very cool. It's kind of like participating in a grindhouse film directed by Robert Rodriguez, written by John Cleese and John Swartzwelder. It's so weird, but it works so well.

Is that the one that's kind of like the "Evil Dead: Fistful of Boomstick" games, etc?

How is that game, picked up street fighter IV and was going to pick up super street fighter IV then Arcade edition came up... Just want to pick one with all the best possible character list available...

i'd just get super street fighter iv and then download the DLC from xbox live to get the 4 extra characters from AE.

hmmm.. was thinking of getting it for the PS3 since I have a arcade joystick for it...
Is there a big difference between the two or is it just the 4 extra characters?

i think there is a difference for all the characters, some minor, some major changes to their moves and damage dealt/received
