RANGERS at SENATORS

(New York leads best-of-seven series, 2-1)

TV: CBC, CNBC, RDS, MSG PLUS (HD)

Big Story: The loss of Daniel Alfredsson may not have had a major impact on the Senators' ability to generate scoring chances in Game 3, but none of those 39 shots found a way to get past Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. The Sens' top line with Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek has been held in check through three games by the Rangers' Dan Girardi and Ryan McDonagh. Alfredsson's status remains a question mark heading into Game 4, but the Senators may need someone to step up in his absence to avoid falling into a 3-1 hole.

Spezza gets tackled in front of the NY net - which leads to a semi-rush the other way and Foligno taking a really dumb penalty.

Go Andy and Go Sens. Oh what a different situation Colorado would be in if they didn't make two boneheaded trades in 48 hours last year.

Rangers look like absolute trash for a 1 seed. They have been, without question, the nail not the hammer in this series. I think other than a few minutes each game Ottawa has dominated them in all 4.

Rangers have ZERO forecheck, are wayyy to reliant on Lundqvist, NO sustained offensive pressure, no cycling, and far too passive. Gaborik is playing like a sieve. Ottawa pressures for a min then Rangers counter for 10 seconds kinda deal.

No chance the Rangers win the cup with this type of play. They need to turn it around quick. They are capable of soooo much more.

In a game full of penalties, always an awesome feeling when an obvious call being missed blows an entire game....

Or, ya know, your goalie could have made one more save.....
Or, perhaps, your team could have capitalized on their two 3rd period PPs.....

It was a tight game in a tight series and calls, both good and bad, are going both ways. If I were you, I'd be more worried about the total lack of defense the Rangers are exhibiting in this series. Apart from the plethora of blocked shots and the Vezina caliber goaltending their getting, New York looks weak.
