Gretzky Auto Winning Materials For The Price Of A Box & 1/2!

Just happened to catch this auction and liked the card. Saw that it was numbered to Gretzky's hero, Howe (Did Gretzky not wear 9 early in his career?). The 2 color on the right and the red wear to the left piece, just had to have it. What do you guys think? Comments are welcome. -Mike

As for the red marks, most likely not any bodily fluids! Probabily paint from the players box. Seeing as Wayne always said that the 'Corner's were for bus stop's!'

And you're correct! Wayne wore #9 during his minor career until he went to the Soo Greyhounds What with a veteran already having #9, Wayne tried out #18 then on the advise of the trainer settled onto #99! Or so the story goes!

I thought about buying that too before you did and decided against it after seeing that others were selling under that price. Thats neat about the serial number, but serial numbers don't actually mean anything at all to me besides the fact that it tells you how many are out there!!

Nice pickup though, its a nice card. I also noticed that Jay bid on it first and he obviously didn't like the price either otherwise he would have had it before either of us saw it!! Its not much more than the others were selling for, so its still a good price!! Congrats...

Just a update. The lady I purchased it from had her daughter pick the box for her. Her daughter apparently has a lucky hand . The corner of the right swatch has fabric fuzz on it, the seller sent me a much nicer scan showing me. I like it, I like it a lot . -Mike

I got it for $199.99. It books at 350 I believe and that doesn't include the multicolor multiplier.
