Tonight is the Jersey Retirement ceremony for Jarome Iginla. It's been great to see all the articles and videos that are coming out to celebrate and honor Iggy's career. I wanted to do something within Book Creator without using hockey cards, and came up with the idea of looking at his goals from the 2 seasons that he won the Richard Trophy. Have to add in an assist to Darren at Maple Leaf Sports on this for selling me all those Flames Media Guides. (You've got me reading books again Darren) They are a wealth of information, and it's a lot of fun looking through them. The Dome will be rockin' tonight!

One of the greatest players who never won a Cup. It was a pleasure to watch him with Team Canada.

You always got high intensity from Iggy on the ice.

Very nice Al and enjoy the game/ceremony tonight!

The ceremony was awesome, I really enjoyed hearing some of the background stories in the interviews and videos.

Nice work on these Al. Some very memorable seasons!

Thanks, it is amazing when you look back at what he accomplished.

Great player...definitely a Wild killer during his Calgary days! Sorry my Wild spoiled his night by winning tonight. Ahhhh, no I'm not. :D

Congrats, Jarome!

Let's talk again in April Curt.  Hopefully the Flames have a long playoff run coming up.

I saw an interview of his a couple years back and was amazed how friendly and humble he was. Really gained a ton of respect for the guy. Seems like an awesome human being and obviously was a heII of a hockey player! Wish when he was here we'd have won him a Cup!

Yer welcome Al. Congrats on all the book learnin’.

Well it was too cold to go outside, so reading the books was a great way to pass the time.

Cool stuff!!

Thanks Seth, I’m trying to think “outside the box” with Book Creator to enjoy my hobby.

He had such energy, lots of his fellow players talked about how he could control a game with his scoring, fighting, etc. They also talked about how he would sign autos for the fans for lengthy periods of time, making sure everyone got their piece of time with him. My most prized Iginla item isn’t a hockey card, but an 8 1/2 x 11 signed photo that has been personalized to me. My oldest son tracked the team down to one of the smaller arenas in the city, where they were practicing (early April). He approached Iggy in the parking lot, and told him it was my birthday as he was getting ready to sign the photo. So Iggy put a personalized greeting on it, and I can read every word, not a scrawl in sight anywhere.
