Just be happy they arent bashing your national anthem kid. "Oh Carey Price, just get us to OT please, Oh Carey Price......"

While his message may be right, the fans should chill. I find it curious that he is so vocal about his fans after what? 1? 2 periods? of PRESEASON hockey. He is asking to be booed in every stadium he ever steps foot in for the rest of his career.

I just shake my head at the entire situation, including the need to write a story about it.... Its gonna be a long season for sure.
 
Its still preseason so there's really no reason to think it will be a long season. I think the booing was more for a fan base that was split whether Price of Halak was the future and some truly felt letting Halak go was a bad decision.
As a CBJ fan its pretty funny that Mathieu Darche found a way to work his way into any conversation.

unless Auld can pick it up like Halak did!
 
Completely juvenile but I found this quote from the articles comments funny:
"Carey Price imma let you finish, but Jaroslav Halak was the best goalie of all time"

I'm drunk and a CBJ fan so I have no reason to bash other teams.

In all seriousness, as much as I don't like the guy, to boo him during a preseason game is pointless and classless. If we as fans want this team to succeed, he's the one we need to support more than anybody.
 
Habs fans once again show why they are the hardest to deal with in the NHL. To boo anyone in a preseason game is absolutely ridiculous. Way to support your players Montreal!
 
What he said was totally warranted, but not to the press, and not in the first preseason game, and not after you were just handed the keys to daddy's new car.

Not very smart on his part, regardless of how your own fans treat you. Unless of course he followed that up with a trade demand.....
 
Can we all relax it's PRESEASON that's what these games are for everyone looked awful in that game it took cammy and plecks almost 2 periods to get going why are we all jumping on careys back and saying it's gonna be a long season
 
Funny that TSN left out one of the biggest quotes by Price from the original RDS/French article where he wrapped up the interview by saying that the way he will solve the problem is to win, which he intends to do.

I didnt start this by bashing Price's play, I didnt see any of the game or any highlights. I have no idea how they played, and I could care less.

My issue is that after a single preseason game (a)the MTL fans jump all over him and (b) Price gets his nickers in a tussle by questioning the fans that support his team. I go on TSN and that is the cover-story? No press is good press, especially this early in the year.

A question: Is Sanford the back up? I thought they picked up someone else. Maybe I am wrong though.

Just stop the pucks Carey, when you have accomplish something in this league you cant tell the fans what to do.

I think he showed is vulnerability to the crowd 2 years ago vs the Bruins in game 4.

One thing im suprise, he wont faded away from challenge, Gill told him he would be way better anywere else then Montreal and he wants to win the fans.
 
Well they boo'd Patrick Roy right out of town to Colorado and the Stanley Cup so what makes anyone think they wouldn't boo Price?

They didn't boo Roy out of town, he asked to be traded because of his feud with head coach Mario Tremblay. Habs fans adored Roy
 
They boo'd Price and jeered him the EXACT same way they did Roy. And no, that's not entirely true that Roy was loved during his tenure here. In 87 and 93, there was A LOT of people on Roy's back out on the streets and in the press. Even years in between they were on him when he wasn't winning games.
