JP Montoya to run Nascar

This is pretty huge news.

I mean, Juan Pablo Montoya is a huge name, a great champ car (CART) career and has been driving Formula1, which is the pinnacle of motorsports to come and drive Nascar, is pretty cool for the series.

He's also a great personality, very...well, he'll fit in with the big driving egos.

I wish em well, he was fun to watch in champ car, not so much in F1, but F1 is tough to watch at times anyway, but I still love it.

I'm looking forward to this.

That is awesome. Mears is going to Henrick and I was wandering who was going to drive the 42 car. He has great driving skills. Will be alot of fun to watch.

we will see how he does in Nascar only time will tell wish him luck though.

Heard today the Danica Patrick may make the leap to Nascar. Maybe next year.

Yup, Something she's looking at.

Also on the JPM news, it could happen sooner rather than later.

Rumours have him leaving McLaren in the next few weeks, to be replaced by Pedro de la Rossa, and have him come over and get some runs in the nascar circuit this season.
Something to do with dodge/chrysler being part owners of the McLaren team or something along those lines.

JPM steps down from McLaren, replaced by Pedro de la Rosa.

Also says he will spend the next while in Miami with his wife, and making initial preps for the Nascar ride next season, so we'll see whether that means running a few races or not.

He will arce a few races in Bush series at the end of the 06 season and be in Nascar for 07 !

I know the guy I will collect in Nascar !
