Hey all.
I've been thinking about scratching one thing that has been on my wantlist for a while: a Vancouver Canucks Jersey.
But, I've been wondering, where would be the best place to go to buy? I know I'm most likely going to shell out a little bit of money for a RBK or another high quality brand, but I would like to have some input from people who would know more than me, because I'm a total newb when it comes to this stuff.

Thanks in advance!

I usually buy off eBay or check craigslist for cheap deals on jerseys. Also buying them out of hockey season is a plus but be prepared to see limited quantities.

I would avoid the traditional big box stores as they are pretty pricy unless they have a killer sale.

I hope that helps a bit.

Spend the extra cash and get the real thing! Go to Meigray.com or NHLGameworn.com (same people run both sites) and see what Canuck players they have. A big name player will be grossly overpriced, but you usually can pick up lower end guys like Ohlund or Pyatt for around $400. Usually around this time of year (Black Sunday or whatever they call it in the US) they have a big sale...50% off certain items (ie: only home jerseys or just away jerseys) which helps a LOT. All the jerseys come with documentation that they are actually worn in games.

If that is too much...hockeyoverstock.com has some good deal occasionally. Not to long ago I bought a few authentic jerseys (no #'s or lettering) for about $35 each. They were RBK too. The slection was poor, but the price was incredible (they no longer have that deal).

Definately go to Meigray to get your jersey. I have never had a problem with them. If you are ever in Vancouver the Team store used to have some game used stuff in there sow at GM PLace.

Yes, by all means give Meigray a try. Remember also that if the player you want isn't listed there right now you can still pre-order one from the rest of the season. They don't list sets 2 and 3 until later in the year and you can reserve one with a deposit. They will also search for you as well.

If you're just looking for a regular everyday Canucks jersey, the main sporting goods stores (Cleve's, SportChek, etc.) are your best bet. They all have the standard of price of around $130 or so, they're high quality, and usually, if you want to go the extra step, they'll also have a fully-crested Luongo in stock as well.

If you want a GU, do what those guys said.

I've been checking out Meigray for a while now. I'd like to order a jersey, but it seems like any actual GU jersey of a decent player is so expensive. I've had my eye on a GI jersey of one of my guys for a fairly reasonable price, but it's not GU.

Take a look at http://www.gameworn.net also. You'll find people there selling all sorts of gamers -- many with Meigray paperwork -- at good prices.

Unfortunately, I have none on hand right now. I may have a practice jersey or two, though. I'll look and edit this -- have to go put up a sign.

Thanks!

i completely forgot about charity auctions. you should check those out almost every team has one and near Xmas there are a tonne of these auction. Try shoot for a cure as well. I think they have a website in which they list the auctions. Also NHL.com does too..
