As Mike eluded the other day. . .
He and I submitted a bunch of cards to Beckett Vintage Grading (BVG). I just received my portion of the cards in the mail today. Overall, I wasn't concerned with the final grades. I was simply looking to authenticate and archive these high-dollar vintage rookie cards. I'm happy to say that none of them came back counterfeit or altered. :)

Chuck Rayner - 1951/52 Parkhurst

Ted Lindsay - 1951/52 Parkhurst

Not too bad on the grades, Jay. Too bad that Beckett just announced that Authentication thing they have so you dont' have to worry about the grades, and you had already submitted your cards.

Meh... Honestly, I think that "authentication only" service is pretty tacky for vintage cards. I'm sure someone would rather buy a BVG 3 from 51/52 Parkhurst than an "authentic" non-numbered copy that looks like crud. It's almost like you're admitting the card isn't worthy of a grade number.

Besides, the "authentication only" service costs just as much as the regular grading service. So it's not like they are giving you a discount.

Some nice grades on those Jay. Always cool to see the Vintage cards, thanks for sharing :)

The grades may not be stellar, but I'd say you have a Grade A mailday, Jay! Glad Mike and you both had all of your cards returned as real

Nice haul Jay!! Gotta love the mini's of Lindsay and Rayner!! Also the JB's!! I'm not a big grader at all but it's nice to have those cards slabbed so nothing can happen to them..:)

Jason, I am pretty pleased all of our cards back back as Genuine and I still think you should throw that Espo on the bay.;) Mike

Really nice stuff!

It's a shame that some people in the hobby find a Crosbaby RC more important than a Ted Lindsay.
