The charges stem from last fall, meaning JFJ had to at least be aware the guy could go to jail when trading for him. Even though it's supposedly going to be served in the off-season, this makes me laugh. A lot.

Barrie, it's the Leafs. They're done after the regular season (first week of April) and 6 months from then is October. It works.

I know there must be a difference between wearing a Leafs Jersey or Prison Stripes but at the moment I can't quite put my finger on it.

He'll be out in 3 months on good behaviour and a few hundreds autographs for the correctional staff. Maybe JFJ will vouch for him or better yet be his parole officer, once his times done. I guess that'll be determined after they see how many points he gets this year . Even with this drama, the Leafs will pack em in every night.

Mark Bell was in trouble with the law before (for drinking, and fighting) when he was a member of the Ottawa 67's. It was only a matter of time before he got in trouble again. I hope that they don't reduce his sentence - drinking and driving is unacceptable under any circumstance, iregardless of who you are.
