So, the plain old regular autos are one in every two packs... While the other half of the packs will have some sort of special auto... interesting. And they are 10 pack boxes, correct? So one dual auto per box, on average? Can just imagine the superstar duos they'll come up with

This looks like 'sticker' crap IMO. UD is flooding the Autograph market with their 04-05 releases....duals 1:10 packs??????? I am glad I got rid of most of my duals...

Yup they showed stickers in the ad (e.g. Beckett Hockey Card Plus).

I guess it depends on how much of this stuff they print up. Didn't they hold back some on printing of Upper Deck regular because of the lockout? I heard 10 bucks a pack here on the board, so at that high price they probably don't want to print up too much. IMHO

The stickers should be an improvement from what we've seen in the past. The middle should be clear with a border fading out around the edges. This is what I've seen from seeing singles of the SP Signature basketball. It shouldn't be those horrible hologram stickers

Not to bring up a whole other issue, but the sticker/cut signatures are horrible. If they are all those type of "signatures," then the cards with amazing combinations means pretty much nothing since the players depicted on the cards never actually saw the card. As for the set itself, my general feeling can be seen in my signature. However, as a Gretzky collector, I have to pick up his cards from the set.

Stickers turn me off for the same reason. But I love autos and it's hard for me to resist an auto a pack. I could always trade everything away for hand-signed cards...lol.

I know what you guys mean, but would you rather take your chances on waiting an entire year with an UD redemption that most likely be wrong or not properly compensated

Ten years down the road the card that is actually signed will be more treasured as the player actually saw it rather than a sticker that may lose its adhesive qualities. Although UD is dreadfully slow, the fact that it is hard signed puts the idea into perspective.

Dreadfully slow? No Jeff. The mail is Dreadfully Slow. The express checkout line at the supermarket is Dreadfully Slow.

Upper Deck's customer service turnarounds are slow enough that you can describe them meaningfully on geological timescales.

I don't mind the stickers too much as I know that the cards aren't being mishandled by the players, therefor are not damaged when I get one. I do agree that they are not as attractive as cards directly signed by the players.

Overall, what's more important? The condition of the card (unless you want every card graded) or an attractive card that can be treasured for ages? Just a thought though.

The one auto per pack is so tempting, I'll probably end up picking up a box of that. I can stand sticker autos (barely stand the holograms ones though). But a Dual sticker/Triple Stiker/ Quadsticker.... Thats just lame.
More adhesive than cardboard = Unhappy Will
BTW, I love Quincy's take on the speed of UD redemtions...
