Just noticed this over on the msn.ca main page.

These are the guys that players and fans love to hate

Some jerks don't know they're jerks. Some jerks don't care that they're jerks. And then there is that special breed of jerk who doesn't appear to know or care about the difference. Los Angeles Kings forward Sean Avery seems to fall in the latter class.

Whether it's with his mouth or his fists, Sean Avery isn't shy about mixing it up.

It's worth noting that Avery has let his play do the talking lately, as he's on pace for a career-high in points. And if we're to believe recent reports, he's still dating Canadian blonde hottie Elisha Cuthbert - as if you needed another reason to hate him.

Those are just off the top of my head though. Avery has got to be pure hatred along with Tucker. Chelios is a guy people love to boo though!

Maltby, guy is a yapping ***** and never stands behind anything he says or does on the ice, love seeing him get pummeled whenever it happens.

Barnaby, same thing, only fights if he knows he can win.

Chris neil is much the same way though he's toned that down,
My boy Tucker does the same.

Ruutu is useless in the league, his agitating is all via dirty and late hits, and again, only goes to fight when the ref is holding the other guy

I despise Martin St. Louis. I have no solid reason for it, something about the guy just really makes me angry.

Donald Brashear is right up there on the list of guys I hate as well.

Blames everyone but himself for his terrible behaviour.

Ive started to love that guy.. i think hes flippin hilarious... wasnt it him that started doing pushups on the ice after he scored a goal last year? -- hilarious

I cant stand tucker though... or as a matter of fact any leaf player, but i particularly hate him, hes a little rat and really gets me going with his tough guy attitude

2 --> Jordin Tootoo. Fortunately he isn't a day to day NHL player and his act is getting old before its time, like clam chowder left out in the sun.

3 --> Matt Cooke.

The trend for me is guys who take advantage of the fact that there is no instigator rule. They run around like idiots and never have to answer for their actions. They won't drop their gloves, unless they get the drop on their opponent.

Gotta agree with you... thats why i dont mind avery, he'll at least drop the gloves every now and then

My vote is for Mike Ribeiro. It was a great day when Gainey shipped his butt out.I dont think i have disliked any Habs player in my life more then him. He should play soccer with his antics lol.
