I was super excited when I saw the previews for this product. Then I saw the price, and the terrible exchange rate made me wonder if I'd open any...

Well sure enough, I went to the store today and opened a box... Here's a card-by-card review, from "worst" to favorite...

This would be my least favorite card of the break. The logoless shirt (I usually don't mind, but this one is too obvious to avoid...), and although it's super short printed and from a hall of famer, it's a bland white jersey piece. I don't know in other sports, but in hockey the value of such a card is pretty low...

Alright three colors patch piece... But to me, Leaf needs to STOP putting these low end enforcers in such a high end release. The interest of enforcers in the hobby is such a niche market that it has no place in a 400+$ product...

Love the blue foil. Short printed autograph of a hall of famer. The kind of player you expect in a Leaf/ITG release. No complaints.

I prefer the look of the Kelly, but the auto memorabilia wins. Another name you'd expect in that sort of release.

I gotta say, I HATE hitting printing plates in these products. I hated it in Superlative, and I hate it here... At least this one is autographed, three times, and two of these names have decent following...

I gotta say, for the price point I was a bit disappointed, but that card made for it...

Maurice Richard Quad Memorabilia, Numbered to 4. Love this card!

So overall I think it's a pretty decent break! I might go for more during the weekend... I really like the look of the cards!

i'm right with you on the printing plates issue.they should really be reserved for lower end products as "big" hits in the lower end products.better yet, make a redemption program for high end stuff like this and exchange box UPC's for a random plate.who am i kidding, those days of freebies are over!
the Rocket definitely saved the break for you.i'd be all over the Grim Reaper card if he was pictured on it and not the generic jersey.i wonder how hard it is to get a 4th line goon under contract for card licencing I mean he'd probably do it for a trip to Disney World at this point!

Like the Maurice Richard but have to say I'm avoiding Ultimate for the first time since its inception under Dr. Price. Been a (at least) one case a year guy from the very beginning. The air brushed logos make me cringe and the nameless jersey pics in lieu of a player image equally makes me cringe. Sad to say but I don't want them in my collection going forward. But at least the Rocket makes up for your personal break overall. Cheers. -Mike

There isn't even an attempt to incorporate those stickers into the card. The Hall one is crooked, the Kelly one overlaps into the design, and the printing plate.....is a waste of three autos the way it looks. I hope they are nicer in person. The Richard is a very nice looking card though, I am happy for you on that one! To be honest, I think the nicest card in the batch is the Grimson. If you have to include scrubs, that's the way to do it!

I do agree the stickers stick out way too much, it should been a little more washed out the area where the signature sticker is, for the price of a box i have to say no to this one, some nice cards but its gonna hurt secondary market value.

While I do not think it will harm market value. I don't
Disagree that the signature labels could have been better positioned
Within the design. Enshrined does a better job of that and others
Will going forward. Having said that. I am very proud of how his product
Turned and and the cards are beautiful in person! Take it from someone has
Seen them all!

Wow I would not be proud of the 3/3 Lafleur card. That should be a big hit. Glad John got the Rocket to help a wee bit. A poorly placed sticker auto does hurt resale.
