I've been on the boards for a while and I've only posted my box/case breaks, sale threads or pimping my ebay or COMCs. I had a full collection of singles and sets, then I completely sold it off about 3 years ago. Slowly (very slowly), I've picked up some singles for my PC (which is focused 90% on Red Wing on card autos). Given that I just put down a large (for me) down payment on a few cases of SP Authentic, I decided to actually share (and possible pare down) what I've accumulate.

First, here is what I picked up this week:
I'll start with a simple YG of a player I want to add a hard signed auto of, when they become available, Andreas Athanasiou:

I usually don't collect YGs, but if I pull the card myself, which I did here, I usually end up keeping it with an aspiration to upgrade it to the Exclusives /100 or the High Gloss /10.

A second card I'll share is from a subset I've never pack pulled and the only one in my collection, an Ice Premieres Auto Patch /10. The patches are always top notch and these are always tough pulls. I'm lucky to have a great LCS owner (and friend) who bought this card back from another customer for me. He gave it to me as part of my SPA down payment, which even makes him more amazing.

Pulkkinen has had a tough NHL start, but he dominated as a scorer in the AHL. The ceiling for this card can only grow.

Here is one of the few cards from my Red Wings Game Used collection. I pulled this card myself a few years ago when I was looking for a cheap product to rip.

I don't think I've seen another copy of this card so I'm very happy to have this in my collection.

The next two cards are posted in tandem. Both are Nyquist rookie auto patches from Upper Deck products. Purchased them both before when Nyquist was hot so probably overpaid, but I'm happy to have them. A collector on another thread was asking which of these sets was a better long term investment and believes that the Ultimate is better because it is lowered numbered. However, as a collector, I think the aesthetic of the SPA is much better and I paid more for the SPA anyways. To each their own!

Here is my first and only Cup Gold Auto Patch Rookie in my collection. Generally, when going high end, I'll try to avoid parallels, but I believe the Franzens in this set were redemptions so I picked this one up and it wasn't cheap. "Moose", despite likely retiring soon because of concussions, is a Stanley Cup winner and once scored 5 goals in a game, making him one of my favorite players to watch during his prime:

Here is my first Yzerman auto and first Yzerman patch. My LCS picked up this card from me from another collector and I knew I had to have it when I saw it. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up the card at the LCS, it slid right out of the top loader it was in and landed square on the lower left handed corner. There was no discount, ha. You can't really see the damage, but it doesn't matter because this awesome card is staying in my collection:

It is too bad Panini doesn't have an NHL license because Prizm cards, especially Gold Prizms have always been at the top of my want list. Low numbered and shiny, what more could you ask for? This one is of Xavier Ouellet, who hasn't been able to break through with the Wings despite a handful of chances. He seems to have been leaped over by Marchenko and held back by Kindl, but made pointless by Mike Green... Anyways I'm hoping he isn't traded because I think he has potential.

Another Cup RAP here. I'd like to upgrade this one to a better patch, but not sure its that much a deal to me (that is, patch quality on singles I purchase). Dekeyser has been a top 4 Red Wings dman since they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of WMU and almost immediately plugged him into a playoff bound team in the first week of April. While he probably won't ever be an all-star, he's got a great first pass and should be good for 30-40 assists per season. The Red Wings seem to like local kids and local kids understandably like the Red Wings so there is a chance Dekeyser won't ever wear a different team's sweater during his NHL career.

A pack pulled favorite of the Red Wings likely future franchise goaltender, Petr Mrazek. I pulled this card from a rather weak product Crown Royale so naturally it was a big deal for me and is one of my favorite cards. Mrazek has shown signs of brilliance but has also struggled at times.

Continuing with the Silhouette theme, I'll bring you a hatrick of Riley Sheahans. These came from the famous 12/13 Rookie Anthology set. Famous for being a notoriously bad break. Luckily I hit one of these myself and added a few when it was clear that Sheahan had an offensive ceiling. While I'm not so sure about the ceiling now, he is certainly turning into a top notch defensive center and usually gets the toughest matchups game after game. Also, two of these are for trade/sale if anyone is interested.

I'll add more as I sort and take photos, thanks for the look, and always keep me in mind for your Red Wing singles.

Welcome and thank you for sharing. always nice to see another Wings collector on the boards. there used to be quite a few of us but after the little break that i took in collecting seems that our numbers have dropped or they are not as active as before. anyways nice to see your goods, that ice patch/auto is sweet as well as the Yzerman.. Always use team bags ;-)

Sean.

Love seeing wings stuff on these S&T's! Also love the little snippets about each card. Keep em coming.

PS: Send your Abbys my way!
