Better late than never, eh?
Went to the Halifax show on Saturday and picked up these two pieces as apart of my 2006-07 Hot Prospects Red Hot Materials /100 set:

I am now down to an even thirty. Will be posting a list as soon as I get my tradelist done... but if you have one, let me know!
Now, my main goal besides picking up some of the RHM's I needed for my set was to bust something, but since OPC was up to $70 a box, I decided to shop around. I got my fill of seeing wax busted after Cyril (cmcdonald1) and Gary (bluewhitey) busted a whole bunch of boxes of Artifacts and was prepared to head home when I got a deal on a box of UD2 that I couldn't refuse. I should have taken the other two boxes the dealer had but seeing I have to save a bit for this weekend I settled for one.
By pack ten, all the big hits had been found (almost as fun as a box of Artifacts!):
2007-08 UD2 Rookie Materials - Rob Schremp
2007-08 UD2 Game Used Jersey - Steve Sullivan
2007-08 UD2 Young Guns - Devin Setoguchi
2007-08 UD2 Exclusives - Saku Koivu.
The other big YG in the box was Stephan. Sigalet, Connor, Stortini and one more also completed out the Young Guns hits.
After the first ten packs I had declared the box dead (like Tony Stewart's car was just as I opened pack ten as he wrecked his primary car in the NASCAR practice!). So, I ripped the rest of the packs thinking this box would be as good as my first Series 2 box (biggest hit in that was a Sakic Exclusives /100) when this popped out of pack twenty-one:
2007-08 UD2 Masterpieces Press Plate 1/1 Magenta - Rick DiPietro
We were actually joking around earlier in the day that how if one of the guys from Truro bought a box that we'd end up pulling something DiPietro after last years 2007-08 Mini Jersey busts. I'll take this DiPietro though.
So then it was onto the Truro Flea Market the next day. Mike ended up having a fresh box of Artifacts so I took the dive and opened up two packs.
Pack two yeilded a Bobby Orr Legends /999 (already gone) and the first pack had this: (sorry for the blurry scan).
2008-09 UD Artifacts (Gold?) Frozen Fabrics Jersey/Patch /25 - Dale Hawerchuk
Can't complain about a patch out of two packs! Everything but the Hot Prospects jerseys are available for the right offer!
