I've already got one incoming which will be a very strong start to 2020, possibly even a #1 contender for 2020, but I digress. Here are the top 10 pieces that I added to the goalie museum in 2019.

10) Adam Vay (2017 Minnesota Wild)
Traverse City Rookie Tournament Game Worn Jersey, possibly also worn by Anton Khudobin and Darcy Kuemper. A fine piece of a Hungarian goalie who was close to making the NHL. My family ancestry is something I take a lot of pride in and Adam Vay is only the second ever Hungarian goalie to ever be close to making the show, though Levente Szuper got closer in 2002-03.

9) David Goverde (1991-94 Los Angeles Kings)
Game worn Cooper SK2000 mask. I initially saw this piece years ago and a friend in the hobby whom I asked to place a bid on my behalf back in the day forgot to do so and I thought it was lost. Then, 2019 came and the collector who won it wanted to get rid of it. Like a politician wanting your hard earned tax money, I was all over it and now I have it! I also love adding memorabilia of goalies with so few games to his credit.

8) Richard Bachman (2011-12 Dallas Stars)
White Set 1 game worn jersey used by Bachman for his first start, first win, first shutout and first loss. Lots of wear and tear on this bad boy. That, combined with the epic amount of firsts with this jersey made it exciting for me to add and one of my memories of the Meigray Expo.

7) Craig Billington (1991-92 New Jersey Devils)
Game used Vaughn blocker. A stunning blocker of a long time NHLer, I couldn't pass it up for the price and what could be better? Well, photomatching it to one of the iconic hockey card sets of all time in the 1991-92 Upper Deck set.

6) Jeff Reese (1989-90 Toronto Maple Leafs)
A very recent addition, this game used Cooper glove and blocker set is not only a beautiful highlight of the equipment of the 1980s, but, it was also photomatched to one of the more unique photos I have ever seen.

5) Jean Sebastien Aubin (2002-03 Pittsburgh Penguins)
Game worn home jersey. I am always a softie for the full-right goalies, and Aubin was a well liked one in my books. This jersey was the first item I purchased at the Meigray Expo this year! That memory will last a lifetime!

4) David Aebischer (2000-02 Colorado Avalanche)
Game worn glove and blocker set. Aebischer was one I have wanted to add something of for a long time and it is surprisingly difficult to do so. I got a great price on this set, and what's even better? It was used in his playoff debut, and also in winning the Stanley Cup as backup to Patrick Roy! Wow!

3) Brian Hayward (1986-87 Montreal Canadiens)
A vintage gamer of a three time William M. Jennings Trophy Winner, this highlights what is great about old school memorabilia. Lots of wear, many repairs, salt on the fight strap. Oh yes, oh yes!

2) Arturs Irbe (1999 Carolina Hurricanes / Latvia)
Game issued and prepped (though possibly used in international play based on my discussions with the mask painter), this piece is a holy grail for me, being how Irbe is by far my favorite player in athletics history. Such a unique item...

1) Josh Harding (2013-14 Minnesota Wild)
Game worn home set 1 jersey. Josh Harding was a sad tale of the NHL. He had the makings of a starting goaltender and the numbers to match, however, an MS diagnosis eventually derailed his very promising NHL career limited to only 151 games. Josh Harding recorded the final NHL win of his career while wearing this sweater!

I'm not sure how you are able to choose just 10 for the year, given some of the amazing pieces you have acquired! Congrats, and good luck in the new year!

Great stuff! I really like that Harding jersey too. Thought he had a lot of promise in the NHL. And he showed a lot of character continuing to pay as long as he could after he received the diagnosis. Thanks for sharing these

My god this is awesome. I'm drawn to the Irbe mask as well. Loved watching him in teal growing up as a kid. All the best in 2020!

Love seeing your additions...heck of a year. Glad I could point you in the direction of your #1! (At least, I'm pretty sure that was one I alerted you to on Facebook! LOL)
