I've waited 46 years for this moment to happen again.
To my Canada friends, your team played a heck of a game. Tough that one team had to lose.
But today, in honor of the USA Gold Medals winners today, my cards of the day pay tribute to:
The last Gold Medal winning team, the 1980 USA "Miracle on Ice" and my high school teammate (baseball), Eric Strobel:

And now the new Gold Medal winning team, the 2026 USA team and Wild defenseman, Brock Faber:

What a great game! Canada outplayed the USA for the 2nd and 3rd period. Connor Hellebuyck made some key saves to keep the USA in it, and Jack Hughes traded his teeth for a Gold Medal with the OT winner!
CONGRATS to the USA Men's Hockey Team!!!
