NHL Trade Rumours and Deals

Just curious, why are Leaf fans so down on Kessel? He's second on the team in scoring, leads them in power play points and shots, and IMO he's the guy helping JVR succeed right now. He's just under a point per game player. I would take him in a heartbeat, I know he's a minus player right now, but if there was anyone to be unhappy with it should be Grabovski. He's the second highest salary and cap hit behind Phaneuf, he's second worst in +/- only Holzer is worse, and he's 9th on the team in scoring. Even Cody Franson has more points then Grabo, and Gunnarson who has played in 8 less games is only 1 point behind him in scoring. For what he's being paid he is a huge disappointment in my opinion, $6 million dollars a year is a huge waste of money for that production.

Because we ended up giving up Seguin and Hamilton to get him. No matter what he does it will never be good enough. I would try to re-sign him rather then trade him. Kessel for Gaborik? Don't make me laugh.

Canucks fielding phone calls from multiple teams for Luongo apparently. Looking for a third line center amongst any package they receive.

Yeah, here's the jist of the phone calls.

Random GM: What do you need for Luongo:
Gillis: We need a center off your roster, a prospect, and a draft pick
Random GM: LOL. *Click*

As soon as Gillies realizes he will have to give Luongo away for nothing a deal will finally get done.

I keep here the Kings are talking to the Sabres about Regehr. He would be a nice addition to the Kings especially if Mitchell and Greene don't make it back this year.

It sounds like there could be a groundswell brewing for Regehr and he could end up being the belle of the ball at the deadline. A lot of people looking for some veteran sandpaper on the blueline and he fits the mold.

because of this, i don't think DL will overpay for Regehr. Greene is skating and will be back within the month if all goes well. i don't think we'll see Mitchell in a Kings uni ever again, sadly.

I just saw that the Columbus GM openly said he's willing to trade one of their 3 1st round picks for a scorer. Let that sink in for a second......

Regehr is between L.A and MTL,
Clowe is very close to Boston
Pho and MTL are talking for Derek Morris
Bouwmeester possible Detroit, St Louis or L.A

Luongo is a good goalie until playoff time...reminds of M.A. Fleury in last year's round against the Flyers. He's not reliable enough to make GM's drool over him...but I can see a team from the bottom of the standings who has the cap room being eager to pick him up.
