Oooo....just thought about more fallout from the new Beckett.com..

I am also done over there. Now I have to figure out how to make a sig here and all. Glad to see more members coming over here. I have read the HI boards for awhile but never posted much, that is soon to change since this beckett disaster.

Yeah!

Im probably not done there.. but once they start charging $6 for trading , im out the door. The thing is, that it was busy. and i got ALOT of my trading done there..
 
I wonder how many people joined HI just today alone? Even if Beckett goes back to the old format, the damage is done. People have realized that there are much better site formats out there that aren't sticking their hands in your pockets. The only thing Beckett had going was the traffic, which as we've all seen has gone in all directions after 12 today.
 
I got to thinking about the way they charge for trading and selling.

You have to pay with yoru credit card. But what you pay for are points that you use towards the trade or sale.

Which means, that upperdeck is charing you to use a service they are providing, but are in no way protecting you in case you get ripped off.

How do they cover themselves from this? Well you buy the points from them. What you do with them is up to you. Their part of the deal has been done.
You cant file a chargeback with your credit card company if you get ripped off using becketts trading or selling features.

Thats the only reason I wont pay for it. If I get ripped of using a messageboards thats fine. I made the decision to do it, and do it for free.
Beckett is just trying to make money off of it and if something goes wrong, its not their fault.


And the points are non refundabled. But you can trade them lol, dumb.
 
Hi all, my first post here! I joined a few weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to post yet. I tried to navigate the Beckett site and just got frustrated. I also don't think I'll pay to trade, so looks like I'll become a regular here. Looking forward to discussing the hobby with you and making some trades!

The thing that gets me is all the new people here all of a sudden because of beckett lately. I quit going to that site over a year ago and I am very glad I did when I did.

To all the new members please keep this site clean, we don't need that garbage from that other site. My 2 cents
 
I left Beckett to come here although I have been a member on here for awhile. I now will only be doing my trading on here. The New Beckett is just plain Messed up!!!

Yeah, I thought I noticed a couple of sellers from the Marketplace on eBay lately. One in particular who has a BIN of $200 for a /20 card I've never paid more than $50 for (three of them to date), with a less impressive patch.

Eevn if he had a Best Offer, it would be a step in the right direction...
 
I'm pretty new here too and boy am I glad! I've been on vacation and when I got back and logged in, I can't even find the message boards. Ridiculous!
 
What I can't understand is why it took everyone so long to move.:D

When I tried logging in over there, it wouldn't let me use my username, saying it was already taken.

Yeah, no kidding it's taken. By me. Now let me use it! :mad:
 
Well, I offically made the move here. I see alot of familiar faces. And hope to make this my new home. I hope you all know my rep. at Beckett was spotless and I am looking foward to making new friends here.
