First off i hope this is the right topic to put this in.
So about 2 days ago i put up a thread for a Martin Brodeur Missing Link Young Guns. I wanted to sell it. So someone comments on the post saying that i sold this card on eBay already which in fact i had. Then the whole conversation escalates from there. Here is my story seeing as i did not get a chance to respond to anyone as the thread was locked.

About 1-2 weeks ago i had pulled the card in question and was talking about it with a friend of mine. He asked my how much i wanted for the card and i said 45$ shipped. He passed as he didn't want to spend that much for some bait. So the next day i put it on the bay. The days pass it goes up a bit and my friend decides to bid on it with a few hours remaining. He ended up winning the Brodeur and was going to pay for it. The next day he receives a PM from a fellow Hi'er stating that he has a Couture French plate 1/1 and a Couture ARP from the cup for sale. Later that day he pm's me asking if he could either pay for the card later when he runs into some more paypal or not pay at all. I told him that i would post it up on here and see if i could get any reply's and maybe sell it. But if i could not sell it and he happened to come into some money and i still had it then i would gladly sell it to him.

Heres the thread to back up my accusation that he did in fact get the PC cards.

So all in all what i'm trying to explain here is even though things sometime look a bit wrong or suspicious you have to get both sides of the story before jumping to conclusions. I don't like it when people do the things that i've been accused of so therefor i would not do them myself. I also do not like it when people who assume they are always right and i try to pm them and let them know my side of the story and they just send me a pm stating childish things and telling me they "owned me".

I hope this at least answers some questions and i will feel better knowing that i at least could let people know my side of the story. I know a few people personally on here and they know i would never do this sort thing.

Well I guess the first thing you should have done is maybe put that into your description of the card when you posted it up on here...

tyler,

As we have discussed you made a couple of mistakes in this ordeal. First off you shouldn't have sold a card to Steve or offered it to him when you were thinking of selling it here on H.I. That has the the potential to lead to something bad and in this case it couldn't have gotten any worse. The other mistake you made, which really isn't a mistake is that you showed too much loyalty to Steve since he is your friend.

All in all, I am shocked at how the H.I members reacted here since all you did was look out for a friend and the fact that you are trying to explain yourself should prove to them that you didn't have any mean intentions and everyone that has been talking behind your back for whatever reason should offer an honest apology. We are all mature adults here and talking crap behind the scenes is one of the most childish things you can do especially when you don't know the entire story..

I don't know you. At least I don't think I do. But I believe you.

Count me in.

Ditto....

Funny how when you think you are doing the right thing or helping out a fellow HI member - you get dumped on.

Live & learn. People like to throw stones. Luckily their aim is quite often off the mark.

I don't think this is as big a deal as everyone is making iot out to be. Did the OP make a mistake? Yeah. Was he looking to screw anybody over? Not even close.

Let's move on people...

I have known Tyler for years and that is so no his style. Goes out of his way for others. Guess Ebay has us second guessing everyone which is just the way it is. Like others have said move on I would not hesitate to make a trade or sale with Tyler..

TLDR. I see gomaz and TripleB accept your story - with references like that, it's difficult to believe the worst. :)

I think we're done here.

Yes, I have known him sense i started around here. He was the first person i met. I got so much crap from so many different people and half i did not even know. And all of them didn't even care to find out the whole story. Im just glad the the truth is out and i can feel a bit better.. Its not the best feeling when your branded as being a shill bidder because it seems within 2 hours of it getting out 500 people know...
